LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - HBO has renewed the two comedies "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Arli$$" for new seasons of 10 episodes each, the network announced Monday (Dec. 3).
"Both of these unique series enjoy a loyal following among HBO subscribers," says Chris Albrecht, HBO's president of original programming. "Arli$$" wrapped its sixth season (with 69 episodes to date) last August. The series is created by Robert Wuhl, who also stars as the title character; a high-powered Los Angeles sports agent willing to do almost anything to stay afloat. Blurring the line between fact and fiction, the sports-themed comedy regularly features real-life sports heroes as guest-stars, including Shaquille O'Neal, Roger Clemens, Barry Bonds and John McEnroe. The series also stars regulars Sandra Oh, Jim Turner and Michael Boatman. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" features "Seinfeld" co-creator Larry David as himself in a documentary-styled depiction of his life. Featuring real-life celebrities playing themselves, the episodes are improvised by the actors from storylines by David. Other series regulars are Cheryl Hines and Jeff Garlin. Meanwhile, the jury's still out on "Mind of the Married Man." The series received a script order for a sophomore season, but has yet to receive a production order. |

I'm happy about CYE but aside from the theme song Arli$$ is basicly pure crap.To quote Basicly everyone on "Beat The Geeks" (The TV Geek,The Host and a Contestant) "This show is Godawful!".
It's ok I guess but if anything else is on then I ain't watching it! Last edited by Sitcomwriter : 08-16-2002 at 10:11 AM. |
