On the road again tomorrow so here is the trivia question:
What two songs did Rick Nelson sing on his only appearance on the Ed Sullivan show? |

Now I feel like a hog, so I'm going to stop answering for awhile and let others play...but it is so darn tempting...lol......

Don't stop answering. I was feeling like a hog last week. I'm much better at the episode trivia questions than the ones about Rick's songs. ![]() |

Your sweet, and I'm much better at music trivia than episode trivia, I have about 250 episodes and have watched them all, but can't seem to remember character trivia.....so we at least have identified what we both excell in..... have a nice weekend...... BTW.....we are all in the NY metro area! Janine is only about 10 minutes from me. We need to have a O&H appreciation convention! I believe there is already an OZFEST...lol |

I haven't watched the episodes that much on the last 15 yrs or so. I watched each set I got when it came it. And when I saw it occasionally on tv in the 90's and '00 I watched to see if I could any new episodes. Most of my memory of the episodes comes from the 80's. I was 12 when they started airing on Disney. I taped it all the time and saved them all. My younger sisters and I would watch and rewatch the episodes over and over and over. That's how they're so engrained in my brain. One of our favorite things was to sing along with Ricky. Rick's music, I have a harder time placing it in a time line reference, or knowing all the songs or titles, though I do have the Legacy set, because they came out over 20 years before I was born. Though the ones that were played on O&H I know by heart. My location says NY but that is state not city. An O&H fest sounds great but unfortunately I am on the total opposite end of the state from you. I'm on the outskirts of Buffalo. |

I went to school in Rochester - not far away from Buffalo. (How do you cope with all that snow ... I remember we got quite a bit in Rochester but nothing compared to Buffalo!) |

Actually, believe it or not, on average Rochester gets slightly more snow per season than Buffalo. I don't think we've really had a lot of snow the last few years. At least in relative terms to what we here think of as A LOT. lol Storms like they have had in the east this year, I can't remember us getting hit over and over like that or having so much snow at one time in quite a while. But it is funny when we watch the news and see different cities freak out and go on mad dashes to the grocery store, and close schools and businesses before it even snows for just 1 or 2 inches of snow. ![]() |

I wasn't sure if you were kidding or not....but musician Ozzie Osbourne has called his annual tours "OZFEST" for nearly 20 years or so....so I was jokily saying we would have to call our fantasy O&H convention something other than OZFEST since the name is already taken......my best to you |

I know what you mean. I don't think the winters are so bad here in NYC. But when my cousins from FLA come up they FREAK when the temp dips to the 50s and they crack out what look like parkas for Antartica. LOL. Cold to me is 20s with a serious wind chill - so when it feels 15 or less THATs cold to me. |

A gathering should be held in Ridgefield Pk, NJ....it is a very small suburban hometown still, they are most famous for having the nations oldest consective 4th of july parade, over 100, they also have a baby contest/parade in the morning, a house decorating contest.....the town is still very much living in the O&H world, pictures of Ozzie are in the town library and the homes haven't changed that much over the years....here in the metropolitan yet suburban area, we have torn down many of the old homes and replaced them with what is known as a "McMansion", Ridgefield Park is one of the few towns that has a ordinance prohibiting the size of reconstructed homes....Ozzie's original home still stands on Teaneck Road and has been renovated in the last few years, but still has a porch and shutters like a classic home should! When the town dedicated a street named after Ozzie in the early 90's, avatar picture, Don (his brother) and Gunner & Matthew all attended...somewhere I actually have footage, as I interviewed them but I haven't located it and I have been looking for years. Lastly Rick was born in nearby Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ and a plaque is somewhere in the hospital stating this. |
