Film-maker Andy Sidaris was talking about doing another installment of his L.E.T.H.A.L. Ladies franchise throughout most of the 2000s. It was to be called BattleZone Hawaii.

Not much is known about this one, but Andy Sidaris mentioned in a 2002 interview that he was "bringing the snake back."

In the coffee-table book Bullets, Bombs and Babes, published in 2003, it is mentioned that the film is "coming soon" and they planned on casting Devin Devasquez (of Guns) in it.

The film never happened because Andy Sidaris has difficulty getting the finances together and he became very ill later on. He died in 2007 from throat cancer.

How about sequels made, but not released?

Porky's: The College Years '09 (aka Pimpin' PeeWee)

Adam Wylie(Picket Fences) plays PeeWee

1988's Pulse Pounders.

It was an anthology film that contained sequels to Trancers, Dungeonmaster, and an adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's The Evil Clergymen.

The film was shelved after the financial collapse of Empire Pictures.

I don't know if this has been mentioned., but . . .

Kyle MacLachalan, after making Dune in 1984, signed on to make three or four Dune sequels. 'Nuff said.

There were talks for years about a third Charlie's Angels film.

Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz have said in various interviews that they wanted to do a third installment. This was way before the tv-reboot was officially announced.

McG was also said to be coming back to direct but he dropped out to do Terminator: Salvation.

The 3rd movie plans were scrapped when the 2011 tv-reboot went into production that ultimately flopped. Drew Barrymore was an EP of the series.

Throughout the late 2000s Winona Ryder was saying in various interviews that a sequel to Heathers was in the works.

She said that Christian Slater had agreed to come back (he never said anything) and that "the script looks great."

Heathers director Michael Lehmann said that there are no plans for a sequel as far as he knows.

Then in late 2009 it was announced that FOX was interested in doing a Heathers tv-series.

Nothing ever happened with that.

A Blues Brothers sequel chronicling the further mis-adventures of Jake and Elwood was being developed, but the death of John Belushi in 1982 stopped it in its tracks.

An Animal House sequel was also in the works and didn't get made for the same reason.

Deadgirl 2

Deadgirl screenwriter Trent Haaga puts up his script for download and had this to say:

There was some hoopla about a year ago about the fact that DEADGIRL 2 was being talked about. I'm not going to get into all of the terrible particulars that killed the project, but needless to say the outcome wasn't pretty and I don't think that a sequel will ever get made. It certainly won't get made with my participation. And it's probably the best that it remain this way.

But I did write a script for it. I always saw the original DEADGIRL as a condemnation of misogyny as opposed to being misogynous - the boys were the monsters, not the "monster" of the title. But a lot of people didn't see it that way. My idea for the sequel was to try and tell a story from the point of view of a female outcast and what would happen if she found the DEADGIRL this time ... instead of using the DEADGIRL for the impetus of her sexual fantasies, what if she used the DEADGIRL for her revenge fantasies instead? I also wanted to put the story back into the "really small rural town" where the first one was supposed to take place (we shot the first movie in Los Angeles and while it looks a lot like "anytown," it didn't capture that economic desperation that I was hoping for ... desperation that would have added to the boys bizarre and angry choices). What I ended up writing could maybe be described as "Precious meets The Pit with a zombie attack dog."

Maybe this movie would have sucked. Maybe people would have loved it. Who knows? It wouldn't have hurt to at least try, but alas it wasn't to be.

... So as a special treat to my fans and blog readers and the fans of the first DEADGIRL, I've decided to let everyone who's interested take a look at the un-produced screenplay. My wife, among others, is like, "Why would you do something like that? What if the project comes back to life? Why don't you just change the title and see if you can make it anyway?" I dunno ... for me, the work has already been done and to have it just sit on a shelf collecting dust seems unfair to the story. I've basically moved on to other things. I would only make this story if it was DEADGIRL 2. It's the only way that it would make sense for me (although, to be fair, the story could easily be sold as something else - the DEADGIRL herself is the only returning character). And that's just not going to happen.

Enough pontificating. Here's the script. I hope that people dig on it. Remember that it's a first draft, so I'm sure it's got all kinds of bumps and warts, but it is what it is. Enjoy and leave me some comments, whydontcha?

Jet Li's 1993 Hong Kong film Kung Fu Cult Master was meant to be the first of a trilogy.

The trilogy was going to be based off of Jin Yong's Candor novels.

Kung Fu Cult Master was a huge production with the hopes of it being a big hit for Hong Kong cinema. When the film flopped the next two films were scrapped.

Jean Auel wrote six novels - a pair of trilogies - in her Earth's Children series about prehistoric Europe but, and correct me if I'm wrong, the first book, "The Clan of the Cave Bear," was the only one made into a movie. It was a flop, and the other five books have never been filmed.

Am I right?

Thanks, I thought one of the other books might have been filmed with a different title.
