I watched it back then & enjoyed it. I didn't get into Freddie until the TVLAND re-runs some yrs ago. That got me into Freddie and made me a die-hard fan...

I watched it every week. I think I was about 11 years old when it premiered and my whole family enjoyed it.

I was 9 when the show came on and I watched it every week. Friday nights were NBC nights in my house. ..Sanford and Son, Chico and the Man and the Rockford Files. I remember when Freddie died. Everybody in school was talking about it. It was very sad.

My dad told me that we did watch it but I don't remember. I was 14 when it began, and my memories of the years from 13-14 are hazy because I had nearly died in a car accident, and then was uprooted for my dad's job--miserable! When Freddie died I was in the middle of other personal dramas and honestly didn't really pay attention...

I remember watching it when it was originally aired. I remember tape recording the episode Reverend Bemi's altar ego

I remeber watching it! Friday nights at 8:30 on NBC; right after "SANFORD & SON" and right before "THE ROCKFORD FILES".

I watched it when it first aired and loved Freddie from that moment on. I think I appreciated the humor of the show later on when it reaired. I sure wish it was back on TV, I think Freddie would find a whole new fan base.
