Lucy and Harry's Tonsils
Funny! Mary Wickes is a scream as the cranky nurse. Lucy and the Used Car Dealer Another wild and colorful show; Milton Berle always works well in Lucy's arena. Lucy and Lawrence Welk A "Lucy" classic just for the sheer improbability of it all. As a kid, I was enthralled by episodes like this. I figured if Lucy could get away with something so crazy, then maybe I could, too. Lucy and Liberace IF only for the line: "When I was with the Boy Scouts I had sequined Merit Badges." Now THAT is funny. There are a few let-downs... Lucy at the Air Force Academy: Lucy's freak out in the elevator isn't very funny. Lucy and the Indian Chief, Lucy the Laundress: for the stereotypes. Lucy Protects Her Job: What, Uncle Harry doesn't recognize his own niece, Kim? That's a stretch... The remainder of the episodes were Okay; good but not great. Your turn(s)... |

Did I write this? No, I'm not HeresJames. But everything you wrote here is exactly how I feel about season 2. Wow! I don't think there's much I could add except that I like the "Lucy and the Hippies" episode (or whatever it's called).

Hey LittleRickyII...
Okay, I'll give you "Lucy at the Drive-In Movie" ("Lucy and the Hippies"), it has some funny bits. It was written by Milt Josefsberg & Ray Singer who, IMHO, wrote some of the best of the early seasons episodes, including one of my favorites of the entire series, "Jack Benny's Autobiography." "Here's Lucy" was described by tvparty.com as "extremely square, even for its time", "a time capsule of generation gap 'laughs' - so bad, it's often hilarious." I think this review misses the point: "Here's Lucy" purposely and comically presents the generation gap from a "square" point of view. I don't think anyone—least of all Lucille Ball—seriously believed hippies and teenagers really acted as they were portrayed on the show. "Here's Lucy" was, after all, a situation comedy. I think the writers intended to present the "generation gap" as if to say, "What's all the fuss about?" Just my two cents. ![]() |

Lucy and Ann Margaret was a Great episode
Lucy and Wayne Newton was a Fun episode--I noticed TVL was showing the movie City Slickers and I thought this would have a been a good show to air with it Lucy and Carol Burnett was a Great episode. I love all the singing and dancing episodes I still have about half the season to watch. |

I liked the Carol Burnett and Johnny Carson eps this season, but "Lucy and Ann-Margret" is probably my favorite ep of the whole series.

I have so many favorites. Definitely a top favorite for me is "Lucy and the Andrews Sisters" because I adore Patty Andrews. Also love "Lucy and Ann-Margret".
Favorites from Season 2 include "Lucy's Burglar Alarm", "Lucy the Laundress" (which is hysterical) and "Lucy and Viv Visit Tijuana" (I love when they go shopping).
