50s: I Love Lucy, Dragnet, Leave It To Beaver
60s: I Dream of Jeannie (check out the signature line), That Girl, My Three Sons, Gilligans Island, Bewitched (then, though I don't care as much for it as an adult), Andy Griffith Show, Monkees, Adam-12 70s: Emergency (I know this isn't a sitcom), Partridge Family, The Bob Newhart Show (check out my avatar), Mork and Mindy (late 70s-early 80s), Brady Bunch 80s: I lost interest in TV in the 80s. I still have a hard time getting interested in any of the new shows, choosing to watch old stuff on networks or on DVDs.

I'm just listing my favorites from the 1960's-80's because I never really saw any sitcoms from th 1950's, plus anything that debuted in 1990 or later wasn't great. Note: I'm categorizing according to debut dates, less confusion for me.
1960's I Dream Of Jeannie Bewitched The Monkees Green Acres Petticoat Junction The Beverly Hillbillies Gilligan's Island The Brady Bunch 1970's Happy Days Laverne & Shirley Mork & Mindy Mash Three's Company WKRP in Cincinnati Welcome Back, Kotter Taxi The Mary Tyler Moore Show The Jeffersons All In The Family Maude Diff'rent Strokes The Facts Of Life 1980's 227 Amen The Golden Girls Mr. Belevedere Gimme A Break The Hogan Family Full House The Cosby Show Night Court

CAJeannieFan57, I never thought of Dragnet as a sitcom! LOL - but there were certainly reasons for laughs at times! Like when Carolyn Jones flirted with Jack Webb (straightening his necktie)!
