Take into consideration things like fashion, attitudes etc. Sometimes I think certain shows from the early nineties look older than shows from 1986.

I think alot of this has to do with how trendy and hip a show was trying to be. For an example, I'll use Facts of Life. The earlier seasons don't seem as bad to most fans as the later ones, in terms of aging. Mostly because they were wearing school uniforms all the time, and when they were wearing other clothes, they were usually jeans and a t-shirt, or some other casual wear (with the exception of Blair). Fast forward a couple of years to the Over-Our-Heads era. Big hair, 80's fashions. The dress was very trendy for the times. These are the episodes that look the most dated.

Well, i agree as it is weird to watch shows like MELROSE PLACE or early episodes of 90210 because the looks and trends were so much diffrent, whereas a 1986 episode of THE GOLDEN GIRLS is still the same as it was in 86 without looking weird!
