Question what comic strips do you think would work in cartoon form?

I was told that Bil Keane's popular comic strip The Family Circus ( the one inside a circle ) actually made it to televsion a few times in the past in cartoon form.

When? Was it any good?

I always believed that The Family Circus would have made a great family cartoon.

A cartoon verson of Blondie could work as well. Maybe its because of the movies from the 40s and the two Blondie shows ( neither lasted very long) but I am still kina surprised there never was a cartoon "Blondie".

any others???

Blondie would make a good cartoon. Marvin would make a good one too.

Lumpy: Did you go out for anything, Dud?

Dudley: Well, I went out for football, but I got my finger stepped on, so my mother made me quit.

Eddie: Well listen-- I went out for basketball and I got my hair pulled, and my mother made ME quit.

Dudley: It's not that I was afraid of getting hurt or anything; it's just that-- well, it's kind o' hard to play the flute with a busted finger.

[Eddie and Lumpy suppress laughter]

Dale Midkiff is my man!

Cool

Don't know who else gets to read this but I think Mutts or Get Fuzzy or Rose is Rose would be great cartoons!

Calvin and Hobbes would be cute too.

And yeah, Family Circus has a couple specials out there, just look for the video. I remember the Valentine's Day and Christmas ones real well, and I wish there were more.

Wasn't Blondie a cartoon special at one time? I remember seeing it on CBS when I was younger. That would have made a good series, and also "For Better or For Worse", or "Hi and Lois".

I remember "Marvin" was a cartoon special at one time as well, but that was so long ago. But that would have been a good series too.

"Marvin: Baby of the Year," starring Dana Hill as the voice of Marvin. And I believe "For Better or Worse did have a TV special once.

Ziggy had a special or two. There was talk about Marmaduke becoming a regular series on CBS.

Rose is Rose would be terrible, i dont want to insult anybody, but that comic is dumb.

I agree Calvin and Hobbs would be a great cartoon.
