Glenn Martin, DDS is the first television production to come out of Michael Eisner’s Tornante Animation Company. The original stop-motion animated series follows the life of Glenn Martin (Kevin Nealon), who yearns for a change of scenery and a deeper connection with his family. Determined to bring the family closer together, Glenn takes the Martins on a road trip to protest the destruction of a beloved childhood park. As things unravel right from the get-go, the family is forced to make the dental-mobile – replete with a giant decorative toothbrush on the roof – their new home. Glenn, Jackie (Catherine O’Hara) and Courtney (Jackie Clarke) – an 11-year-old future corporate maven who brings along her personal assistant, Wendy (Judy Greer), a 14-year-old North Korean exile – and son, Conor (Peter Oldring), the 13-year-old hormone-addled tween who’s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed--quickly learn when hitting the road that the road can sometimes hit back in unexpected ways. The Martins are accompanied on their journey by the family dog, Canine, who’s pronounced buttocks only add to the hilarity.

That explains why Roseanne is now just 12-2am starting Monday on TV Land. Though it is longer on Thursdays (9pm-2am) and Fridays (11pm-2am). I bet Family Matters heads to BET soon.

Any station needs to pick up Family Matters that is going to treat it with some respect! It should have stayed on ABC Family. I am so sick of these GL marathons that I am about to pull my hair out. After a while the same old jokes just aren't funny anymore.

Especially when they seem to air the same episodes over and over and over. Everytime I watch it, I've seen that same episode(s) like twenty times before

I've wondered if Roseanne wind up on NAN again in the middle of the night again. Not surprised. It didn't work that well on TV Land but it seemed to do pretty well on NAN in the middle of the night/early mornings. Wonder if it will leave TVL entirely soon.

Glad to see HI getting a daily slot!! I can sorta see Family Matters on BET. Don't they air Sister Sister or something like that?

Family Matters would work well with Jamie Foxx, The Game, and Everybody Hates Chris on BET. They have Sister, Sister, but it isn't currently on the schedule.

And plus Family Matters has aired on BET already in marathons.

I can't believe that N@N would get rid of Family Matters entirely.

Can somebody please explain to me why they need 3 hrs of Roseanne when TV Land was already airing it significantly?

Considering it seemed to always do well for NAN in latenight, not surprising to see Roseanne back. It did much better here than it did on TV Land. Kind of surprising to see it back in such a big way, though. This also cuts The Nanny back quite a bit.

It did well on NAN latenights before it left, so I think it probably does better for them in the middle of the night than TV Land.

TV Land should drop it, or maybe just air it once a week in marathon form with it going to NAN.

Within the last decade, Nick at Nite has done well with just a handful of shows airing at one time. Remember when The Cosby Show and Cheers ran the line-up? Or Roseanne and Fresh Prince’s reign? Right now George Lopez and Chris are doing well, with Malcolm and Nanny being the “extras.” Family Matters has only run for a little over a year now and hasn’t really stayed at a good evening time (it aired from 11pm-midnight for a while, but has been regulated to overnights for a while now), and even though Home Improvement is staying somewhere on the line-up, Nick at Nite is all but done with airing it at a “good” timeslot.

Roseanne (like Fresh Prince) seemed to always be a good “fall back” show. If something in the schedule wasn’t working ratings wise, they could just air Roseanne (or Fresh Prince) and everything would be OK. I think that is some of what’s going on here. Plus, it makes N@N’s schedule much cleaner to look at (consistency each night).

To be honest, I really only watch sitcoms on Nick at Nite, so when Roseanne moved to TV Land, I haven’t really seen it all that much. With it returning Monday to N@N, I might start watching again.

Do you think they are going to take The Nanny off soon. I mean they have already dropped it from like 6 episodes a night, back to 2 episodes a night + the late night marathons, and then to just 2 episodes a night. Also I just looked at the schedule and it looks like they are playing them in order, dosen't NAN only play episodes in order when they are about to take a show off or play it only in the late night slots??
