Post PAX TV & Here's Lucy

Does Pax still carry Here's Lucy. I live in West Virginia and the only station here in town is PAX and they havent aired Lucy in a long time.

Not long ago I called them up and was told its still a Pax show but they dont carry it locally becuase they ( PAX 60 ) felt they could make more money airing paid religion.

I miss it!!

PAX-TV is currently not airing Here's Lucy. I do recall them airing the show in one cycle rotation in the fall of 1998 through the end of January 1999. I think they aired all of the episodes, but I'm not sure. I recall them stating on air that someday they will bring back Here's Lucy.

I believe that after "Here's Lucy" finished its original six month run, PAX continued to offer it to their stations as a filler program if they needed it. Up until very recently (within the past three or four months), a station near me which carries some PAX programming (I think it's some sort of a secondary affiliate) was carrying "Here's Lucy", and they had the PAX logo plastered in the corner throughout the show.

I'd like to know more about how PAX distributes their shows.

Man, it did? When My UPN airs "Remington Steele" and "Bonanza", it has the PAX End Credits

"Here's Lucy" aired in L.A. during 1996-1998 on the KDOC network.

I want to get beyond that, i'm sick of chopped up versions shown in no order whatsoever. I want them all out on video and better still DVD's season by season. There are so many lesser shows available that way, but not these classics. IS it CBS or the family that's asking too much money for them, or what?

I think it has something to do with giving "I Love Lucy" all the air time. I "heard through the grapevine" that the reason you rarely seen "The Lucy Show" or "Here's Lucy" is because they are simply considered "poor" spin-offs of "I Love Lucy". Honestly! In my opinion, "The Lucy Show" is Ball's 'finest hour', but "Here's Lucy" I would love to see because it has been about twenty-five years since I've seen it. I think they should cut back on "I Love Lucy" to five times a day instead of ten, and with the other five airplays, squeeze in "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy".

Fight back then, do what i did, get some copies from friends, they are both great series and as everyone knows the same lame eps of The Lucy show make the rounds and they are LOUSY copies too, imagine putting a lousy copy of that on a DVD yet, and Here's lucy is also very very good, if only people would stop comparing it to the greatest TV show ever produced and looked at it on it's own merits!

I agree Brenton! While I love "ILL" to pieces, it gets old after a while! It would be a refreshing change to see some of her other work for a while...

Until someone sent me 39 episodes lately, i hadn't seen them in decades, and i LOVED every single one of them, the ones with Viv were excellent, she did lots of them, the ones with the big name stars were great and the location ones directed by the great George Marshall were very good also. Lots of repeating of old plotlines, but so great to see her in DIFFERENT shows for a change.
