As others have said, there are so many I'd love to meet - I wish we could have a huge SO gathering - everyone from Britain, Sweden, Germany, the U.S. and Canada. It would be an absolute blast!

I'm afraid with the economy being so crappy, a lot of people couldn't afford to come. But I've been thinking about it lately.

I think there is a few members near me that live in Chicago. I'm about an hour and half drive from there. I would also like to meet opus so we could have the infamous rock, paper, scissors for the fight over Valerie Bertinelli..lol

Than you still have to do something with Max, you know Barbara did share a kiss with him while she was married to Mark that "curled her toes"! Oh that's OK I'll " take care" of Max!! He'll be in "good hands" with me and out of the way so you two can duel it out and still make it to the ball game !!

I would not want to meet any members in person. This may be strange , but the reason I say that is based on who I think you'd be. For each member, I have this imaginary image of what you might look like or be like , so that's what I'd think you be in real life. So to meet a member in real life would ruin my whole perception of who I thought they were based on their online profile, and I'd be shocked at how different they are from my perceptions of them

This mirrors my sentiments...to an extent. I agree that there's a shock that comes when you meet someone in real life after previously having a purely virtual correspondence. I have rough mental images of most of the members here. But I guess there's only so much you can tell from text.

Honestly I think it'd be fantastic to meet up with a few members. It wouldn't ruin anything because it would be the truth and I wouldn't have to guess what people are like outside the site.

But it's wishful thinking I know. It'd be a logistical nightmare unlike anything ever seen if we tried to get everyone to a massive convention center or something somewhere in the US.

There's been a few on here that have met, I've gone completely blank on their names, but I do remember reading about it on here.
