I know. It was nice at first not being bothered, but my days have gotten very monotonous over the couple of months as well. I just can't seem to find anything to do.

Mike, be never think you are worthless, because you are having a difficult time finding a job; remember, we are in a recession, and the jobless rate being now at 9.5 (the highest it has been in 28 years) please, do not knock yourself down...

It flat out sucks. I'm tired of being here all day and having nothing to do(if I wasn't watching so many syndicated shows right now it'd be even worse). I spend hours just doing nonsense online.

This I can relate to. I have been out of work since January and nothing has been happening. You are far from worthless because you dont have a gig. Keep at it and keep looking and as the Brits say "chin up".

^ Thanks Tara and Mickey. I've been doing some serious thinking this afternoon. If I don't hear something about a job by the end of the month, I'm just going to go back to school full time. Since I'm working towards my Master's degree, I could use this time of unemployment to get some of the schooling over. Billie actually suggested this to me last week, and my dad brought it up this morning.

That's great, Mike!! I'm really sorry you've been feeling kind of useless with the whole job thing... I've just kind of given up on it... I mean, I got nothin but a high school degree in my back pocket.. I'm currently working on my Associate degree.. so yeah, It's either fast food or retail, and those places aren't even hiring!!! I can't wait to go back to schoo, okay, hold on a sec, I can wait.. but it will be nice when I go back.

I think it's a really cool idea, Mike. Billie and your dad are very wise!

Thanks, Mattie. I haven't decided for sure. I have to balance out a lot of factors like whether I'll have enough money to pay bills if I don't work. Of course, I could decide not to go to school and still not find a job. Also, to go back to school I will have to take out financial aid. Still, I'm leaning in the direction of going back. Well, I would be going anyway, the decision is whether I'll be going full time or not. My dad said that since I have been unable to find a job and he doesn't expect the economy of getting better anytime soon, I should just go to school full time. I was talking to my neighbor this afternoon and he said pretty much the samething.

You and me both. I'm making big projects for myself to keep busy just so I don't dwell on all that. Right now I don't have a job (which is a nice break, believe me) but I occasionally think I should still be working. What a waste to find a job for 6 weeks though.

Plus, I'm the type that constantly needs to be reassured that I'm not alone in life. I'm such a loser.

Well you know I think this is a great idea. I do agree you need to think long and hard about it, but I think this could be a good opportunity for you. Good luck!

I agree with Mike. You're not a loser Cathy. What you are is human. It's very human to need reassurance. We all need it sometimes.
