Biggrin C Is For Closed Captions.....

This is a fun thread for ABC of technological inventions you LOVE..... I am only choosing a few letters out of the alphabet....

A is for ATM. With an ATM, you dohjn't have to stand in a bank line waiting to get your money. You can get your money in one minute!

C is for Closed Captions On T.V. Thank god for CC! Sometimes, I can't understand what the actor is saying without reading the text!

G is for Google. With google, you can resarch if that "You won 20,000 dollars in the Nigeria Lottery!" is a scam or not.

I is for the Internet. You can research a lot of things, and play ganes on the internet. You can chat on messageboards!

M is for Mobile Cell Phones....With your cellphone, you can call your cousin from your phone that you are stuck in traffic and will be late to her party!

P is for Photo Ids on Credit Cards. With the customer's photo on the credit card, it's a relief and a convienince for both cashier and customer! Customers don't want to look through their wallets/purses for IDs, the cashier doesn't want to waste time!

Y is for Youtube. With this invention, you can watch those old cartoon lips from the 70's you used to love watching as a child!

Cool

D is for DVD's - they allow us to watch unedited episodes of our favorite old TV shows.

M is for message boards - they allow us to spend time with friends from all over!

D is for DVR. With DVR, you can go to work, and watch Desperate Housewives when you get home, without dealing with those VHS tapes or calling in sick to watch the episode!

Voice Mail is a GREAT thing, and I do like this invention especially when you can't get in touch with somebody. But when you take the time to leave a message, and leave your name & number, then nobody even calls you back, that's the bad thing.

Another C-word.

C for CD's. Imagine being able to fit all that music on one flat circular disc! And I'll admit that tapes are nothing compared to CD's. I love being able to switch from one track to another. Can't do that with a cassette tape!

Niles: I feel very close to you too Daphne. You know it's easy being someone you feel close to when you feel close to someone who's so close.

You don't need to use Google for that.

Yes, you're right, common sense should tell you that it's a scam, but some people lack that sense, so they use Google(hmm, using Google is a form of common sense, i guess).....

C for Caller ID
A wonderful tool for avoiding friends, relatives, and collection agencies.

D for DVD Burner
I bought one a few years ago and it's quite possibly one of the best purchases I've ever made.

F for Fan Subs
If it weren't for fan subs, I would only understand about 25% of my favorite show.

H for HDTV
When I first heard about it, I said 'Oh, there's no way it can make that big of a difference'. I was wrong! My dad bought one about a year ago and that TV is so awesome! Expensive as heck, but worth every penny!

M for MKV's!
I love 720p MKV files! Those things produce the best screencaps I've ever made!

This one would definitely make my list too. I've caught so many old soap episodes dating back to before I watched.... and in some cases, before I was even born!

L is for Landline phones. Try using your cordless phone or cell phone during a blackout ..... Landlines let you still talk, regardless of the weather/circumstances....
