I have been watching this show nearly all of my life, and have seen every episode and have always been puzzled by one thing. What did Barney do for a living. He mentioned he had a job and we would see him going off to work, but where did he work?? What kind of work did he do??
In one episode Betty mentioned that his job failed to get a contract to send a man on the moon. Did Barney have a NASA type of job?? Anybody know???? |

According to the coffee table sized-book, The Art of Hanna-Barbera,
by Ted Sennett (1989): Barney's place of business: Pebble Rock & Travel Company He worked for three bosses there: Mr. Pebble, Mr. Slate and Mr. Granite. |

Ok there was the one episode when he got axed from his job, and Fred got him a job with him, and then Mr. Slate promoted him to vice president because Barney was his long lost nephew I do remember that one.
What did Barney's company do excatly?? |

During the first season Fred's advice got Barney fired from his job, but it never stated what he did. Barney found a job as a repo man, LOL.
