Question Do you like your job?

For years everyone tells you to pick a career you love. I'm not sure how I ended up becoming a corporate trainer - I kind of just fell into it, but I do enjoy it. It's definately the best job I've ever had. I work at company headquarters, have my own laptop and go on business trips (to exciting places like Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania). But it is really a wonderful job. I don't know if I'll always be a trainer, but for now it's perfect for me. I don't think I love it, but it's interesting meeting so many employees, and to try to get them excited about banking

What do you guys do for a living? Do you enjoy it? Think you'll ever switch careers? If you're in school, what do you plan on doing?

Right now, no. The position I loved was cut and I had to go back to the phones. It sucks.

I work in sales and marketing. There are times I like my job and times I don't. Right now things have been going a bit slow but I'm not stressed or anything.

I am blessed because I love my job. There is something new just about every day, I get to meet different people, I travel for free, benefits, great pay. If my children are sick I can work from home.

I don't love it, but I do enjoy it. When I finally can teach American History I will love my job. I like the people that I work with and I think helping the students (the future of America) is rewarding. The pay is okay and the benefits are better than average. The jobs lacks challenge though. I also don't think that I'm making the best use of my education or being the best I can be with this job. However, I do like going to work each day, and I am thankful for that.

Me too

Its been four months now.

Before I got laid off I was working in the automotive industry and hated it. They were already cutting back and finding ways to cut corners so we were doing three times as much work and were expected to get everything done perfectly. There was also a negative vibe going around since the industry is in such bad shape, and some of the people I worked with were jerks(some were really cool). Frankly I was miserable, so I wasnt too dissapointed when I got let go, and besides I knew it was coming.

I dont know what kind of gig I will have next but I cant do factory work anymore and nor will I return to the automotive industry. I'm out.

Well I am in school now, so that has kept me busy, and the one thing about being out of work is that I have more time to do my homework.

I'm not OMGCRAZY about the new job I just started - I wish I was still at my last job, but what can ya do. It's decent so far, and it's full-time, at least. I basically do two huge tasks the entire shift, and I'm fine with that. (backroom monkey at the store everybody loves to hate, hi!)
