when "THE FLINTSTONES" debuted Jackie Gleason was going to sue Hanna-Barbara over it, since it was similar to "THE HONEYMOONERS" but his lawyer talked him out of it.

Jackie Gleason hosted a show once that was so bad, he went on the air and apoligized for it.

Despite the way it sounds, "STAR TREK" was never a big hit in the ratings-not even in the first season.

Stephen Still is the only musician to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice in one night

In 1997 Buffalo Springfield and Crosby Still & Nash were inducted, and Still was a member of both groups.

The filming of the movie 'Titanic' cost more than the Titanic itself.

Of the four commonly used English language words that do not rhyme with any other word, three are colors; 'orange;, 'silver', and 'purple'.

Oh, the other one? Well, 'month', of course.

The origin of the phrase "Say Uncle".

As time went on many families were picking up on the fact that they had a "perverted uncle" who never married and liked being around children. As a result, parents were cautious about said person being around their kids at family functions.

Children were given a warning to "Cry Uncle!" when the said pervert got too close for comfort to the kids and an adult would rush to the childrens' aide.

Eventually it made its way into meaning a sign of surrender among people; like when someone plays the game "Mercy" they would say the word "Uncle" when they give up.
