WFSB covering the greater Hartford area. Its claim to fame is that Gayle King was a former anchor. They made a big production of her being Oprahs best friend and milked it for everything it was worth, it was quite annoying. Oprah even came on once and did the weather and when Gayle anchored the news at noon she would make it a point to remind you what topic Oprah would be covering later that day. Needless to say they stopped that practice after Gayle left.

Anyway, 2 of the anchors married each other and are like the "Brangelina" of CT. Their names are Dennis House and Kara Sundlun (I think Kara's father is or was the governor of Rhode Island) Anyway, I got to meet them when she gave birth to their first child. I was a security guard at St. Francis and thats where she had the baby. She was pregnant last fall and announced it on her local talk show called Better Connecticut, but suffered a miscarriage a week later.

Other notable people that got their start at WFSB are Bill O'Reilly and Mika Brazinski from Morning Joe on MSNBC.

What year did Bill Orielly work at WFSB? When I lived in Connecticut from 1993 to 1998 I watched WVIT NBC30, that newsast seemed to stand out more than the Others

Bill O'Reilly was the 11pm co-anchor between 1979-1980.

I rarely watch the local news, but if I do, it is either KFMB (CBS) or KGTV (ABC); the local affiliates for San Diego. When I am in Los Angeles; it is always, KABC (channel 7)...

I watch KNBC, channel 4 in Los Angeles. I've watched them for so long they're almost like family.
