Matt "Joey Tribbiani" Leblanc has been nowhere to be seen since his spinoff "Joey" was cancelled by NBC. My question is, what gives??? Did the spinoff kill his acting career OR was it something more sinister, like the monkey movie "Ed"?

Good question. I'd say the spinoff, but "Ed" sure didn't help any.

He should never have done "Joey". That's what killed his career. Although his unique choices in movie roles didn't help matters any.

I may be in the minority, but I actually enjoyed "Joey".

Brian, your not alone. If you take away Friends, it was a really good show. I still have yet to buy season 2 from Amazon.ca, but plan on buying it in the next month or so. I figured there isn't any rush. Not like we're about to get a third season! ![]() |

I think there was a lot going on in his personal life too - didn't he get caught fooling around on his wife and then divorced when their baby was quite young? I have a feeling he had a bit of a meltdown himself. It just hasn't been publicized like the others (a la Britney).
Joey wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.

^ Yes, I seem to recall that he was having marital problems at that time. That couldn't have helped matters any.
