Default The Movie Adaptations Of Your Favorite Sitcoms... Yay or Nay?

I didn't want to start a thread on each individual board for each show so I thought it will be good to make it one general thread.

These are the movie adapations of many classic shows that I can think of. If you know of any I have failed to mention please add.

Just give a brief statement on if you liked it or it stunk:

1. a) The Brady Bunch Movie (1995)
b) A Very Brady Sequel (1996)

2. Leave it to Beaver (1997)

3. The Little Rascals (1994)

4. The Beverly Hillbillies (1993)

5. Bewitched (2005)

6. The Honeymooners (2005)

7. The Dukes of Hazzard (2005)

8. Starsky & Hutch (2004)

9. a) Charlie's Angels (2000)
b) Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle (2003)

Viewable. Once. But not often.

8. Starsky & Hutch (2004)

OK. Even tho Snoop's HuggyBear was not even close to the Original. But Ben&Owen made it very well.

I love the Wayne's World and Addams Family adaptations, but that's about it. It would be interesting to see what young stars would get cast in a movie update of Night Court.

I loved The Little Rascals movie as a kid. It came out when I was the age of all of the kids in the movie, so that kind of attached me to it as well. It was always a favorite of mine growing up.

Movie

The following TV shows (among others) have been remade as theatrical movies, with new casts (films that featured the original cast are not included). Here's how I would rate the ones that I've seen:

"The Addams Family" (good)
"The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle" (good)
"Alvin & the Chipmunks" (fair)
"The Beverly Hillbillies" (poor)
"Bewitched" (haven't seen it)
"The Brady Bunch" (haven't seen it)
"Car 54, Where Are You?" (haven't seen it)
"Charlie's Angels" (fair)
"Dudley Do-Right" (fair)
"Dukes of Hazzard" (haven't seen it)
"Fat Albert" (haven't seen it)
"The Flintstones" (good)
"The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas" (fair)
"George of the Jungle" (good)
"Get Smart" (haven't seen it)
"The Honeymooners" (haven't seen it)
"Inspector Gadget" (good)
"Leave It to Beaver" (fair)
"The Little Rascals" (good)
"The Lone Ranger" (1980; Klinton Spilsbury; poor)
"Lost in Space" (haven't seen it)
"Mister Magoo" (poor)
"Mod Squad" (haven't seen it)
"My Favorite Martian" (poor)
"Scooby-Doo" (good)
"Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed" (fair)
"Sgt. Bilko" (haven't seen it)
"Twilight Zone" (fair)
"Underdog" (poor)

well, of the ones I've seen, I'd say the worst ones were "THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" & "THE HONEYMOONERS". They were both

(I got "THE BEVERLLY HILLBILLIES" on DVD from netflix, and turned it off 20 minutes into it!! I was going to turn it off after 10 minutes when I realized how bad it is but decided to at least wait for Buddy Ebsens cameo, but it was so awful I couldn't even wait that long!!!)

I feel that pretty much all of the movie adaptions of TV shows are horrible, mosty because of bad casting and bad scripts.
