VIVICA A. FOX SIGNED TO HOST TV LAND'S "THE COUGAR"

Los Angeles, CA - February 4, 2009 -- TV Land announced today that film and television actress Vivica A. Fox will host the upcoming TV Land original series "The Cougar," a one-hour elimination dating series set to premiere in April on TV Land PRIME. Executive produced by Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor") and Warner Horizon Television, "The Cougar" is an eight-episode series in which an accomplished, beautiful and sexy woman hunts for love from a pool of eligible younger men.

"I'm so excited to be the guide for 'The Cougar's' quest for love," says Vivica A. Fox. "This show will prove to be empowering and enlightening for women everywhere. Plus, 20 hot guys gathered under one roof doesn't hurt!"

"Vivica is a pop culture celebrity who uniquely connects with our audience and whose distinctive style and sense of humor will help TV Land deliver on our promise to create entertaining programs that reflect the lifestyles and tastes of our viewers," stated Larry W. Jones, president of TV Land. "I'm thrilled that she will take viewers on our Cougar's romantic journey."

In 2009, Fox returns as Larry David's new houseguest in HBO's hit comedy, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and also co-stars with Jessica Simpson, Cheri Oteri and Steve Guttenberg in the upcoming feature comedy "Major Movie Star." In 2008, Fox returned to her crime-solving roots as an FBI agent in pursuit of a serial killer in the suspense thriller "Junkyard Dog." Switching to a dramatic role, Fox co-starred in "Cover," a film directed by Bill Duke and based on a true story about the effects of HIV and AIDS in the African American community.

Continuing her producing efforts, Fox starred in and co-produced "Three Can Play That Game" (Sony/Screen Gems), co-starring Tony Rock. This romantic comedy is the sequel to the hit feature film "Two Can Play That Game." Fox also starred in and co-produced the suspense thriller "Motives 2." Vivica then lent her voice to the animated feature "Unstable Fables," as well as starring as the animated character Black Velvet in the WB's "New Loony Tunes."

Fox is also well-known for her role as Vernita Green in the 2003 Quentin Tarantino smash, "Kill Bill: Vol 1."

Fox was also voted one of People magazine's 50 most beautiful people and appeared on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars."

More on The Cougar coming in April...

40 YEAR-OLD BEAUTIFUL AND SOPHISTICATED STACEY ANDERSON REVEALED AS TV LAND'S "COUGAR"

New York, NY - February 19, 2009 -- Stacey Anderson, a stunning 40-year-old successful realtor from Scottsdale, Arizona, has been named as the "Cougar" in TV Land's new original series "The Cougar," it was announced today. The eight-episode series, which is hosted by Vivica A. Fox ("Kill Bill: Vol. 1," "Curb Your Enthusiasm"), follows Anderson as she searches for love among a pool of 20 eligible twenty-something men. The one-hour elimination dating series is executive produced by Mike Fleiss ("The Bachelor") through his NEXT Entertainment production company in association with Warner Horizon Television and premieres on April 15th at 10:00 pm ET/PT on TV Land PRIME.

"Stacey Anderson's vivacious personality, stunning looks and incredible heart make her the perfect choice as our 'Cougar,'" states Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. "She is sure to break all the stereotypes people hold about who 'cougars' are."

For years, Stacey has believed that society has placed a double standard on women who date younger men, and she is here to prove that age is nothing but a number. Stacey's dating experiences have led her to believe that men her age and older live under the pressure of a "ticking clock," which dampens their spontaneity and zest for life. Essential to Stacey's personal success is her upbeat optimism and zeal, which have not been tainted by life's adversities. She believes that younger men have the same spirited zest for life, a demeanor Stacey finds crucial for her future love interest to possess, a love interest that she plans to find on "The Cougar."

In her spare time, Stacey gives back to her community by helping to acquire affordable land for the nonprofit organization Habitat for Humanity. She also enjoys an active lifestyle by playing tennis, golf, hiking and swimming.

Stacey is currently a realtor who, in only her first year in the commercial real estate business, was ranked in the top 1% of realtors nationwide for sales over 50 million dollars.

eh, I wouldn't say she's stunning. The TVLand executives are so full of themselves. I couldn't care less about the Cougar. Mike Fleiss is one of the worst producers around.

TV-Now is still listing Night Court's comeback as March 4th. I kind of find that hard to believe because the rumor around here is that the show is gone for good. Maybe it's been renewed for another run of repeats.

No, tv-now.com is wrong. TV Land doesn't have the contract for Night Court anymore.

I'd say she's pretty good looking, but I still don't understand what this show is doing on TV Land. It probably would have done good on ABC, considering what a hit The Bachelor is this season. But TV Land?

It's TV Lands way of boosting ratings, since apparently the all classic tv format wasn't working. Some of their shows like High School Reunion and She's Got The Look have down reasonably well. While others such as Chasing Farrah and Family Foreman have tanked.

He can currently be seen as the womanizing Barney Stinson on the hit CBS comedy series, “How I Met Your Mother,” a role which recently garnered him a 2009 Golden Globe nomination and two consecutive Emmy Award nominations. Harris’ Barney is best known for his hilarious catchphrases, penchant for suits, and foolproof ways of picking up women. Named one of the “2008 Entertainers of the Year” by Entertainment Weekly, Harris also recently starred as the aspiring supervillain and lovelorn title character of Joss Whedon’s web-based musical miniseries sensation, Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. The web series debuted atop the iTunes television charts and has gone on to produce a subsequently successful soundtrack.

Harris gained notoriety on the small screen as the much-adored title character in “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” a role which also garnered him a Golden Globe nomination. Created by Steven Bochco and David E. Kelley, the television comedy-drama, which ran for four seasons, told the story of a brilliant young doctor who faced the problems of being a normal teenager. Harris’ additional television credits include the NBC comedy series, “Stark Raving Mad,” opposite Tony Shalhoub, the CBS mini-series Joan of Arc with Leelee Sobieski & Peter O’Toole, Showtime’s The Man in the Attic, the classic TNT telefilm Cold Sassy Tree opposite Faye Dunaway, My Antonia with Jason Robards, The Wedding Dress with Tyne Daly, and CBS’s top-rated telefilm of 2005, The Christmas Blessing. He’s also made notable guest appearances on such shows as “Will & Grace,” “Ed,” and “Boomtown.”

Already of veteran to theater, Harris has starred in three Broadway productions, including the dual roles of The Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald in the Tony Award-winning musical Assassins. He also played Anne Heche’s unexpected suitor in the Pulitzer Prize-winning production of Proof, and the exuberant emcee in Cabaret at Studio 54. His additional theatre credits include roles in the Geffen Playhouse production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, The Paris Letter at the Kirk Douglas Theatre, tick, tick…BOOM! at London’s Menier Chocolate Factory, the Los Angeles production of Rent, Romeo & Juliet at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego, and the concert production of Sweeney Todd at Lincoln Center in New York.

In July 2007, Harris utilized his Broadway expertise behind the velvet curtain during his theatrical directing debut of the original comedic script, I Am Grock, at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood. Furthermore, Harris recently mixed his love of magic and theatre in directing The Expert at the Card Table at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Harris rounds out his accomplishments on stage and television with renowned success on the silver screen. His last feat was the reprisal of his role as “Neil Patrick Harris” in New Line Cinema’s comedy film, Harold and Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, the sequel to 2004’s sleeper hit Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle. Harris’s feature film debut was a starring role opposite Whoopi Goldberg in the coming-of-age drama, Clara’s Heart, for which he received his first Golden Globe nomination. Additionally, Harris has appeared in Universal’s hit urban comedy Undercover Brother with Eddie Griffin, Paul Verhoeven’s Starship Troopers, The Next Best Thing with Rupert Everett & Madonna, and The Proposition with Madeline Stowe & Kenneth Branagh, among many others.

The multi-talented Harris also enjoys a busy schedule in the world of voice-overs, appearing in numerous animated series and features, including the recent Justice League: The New Frontier (as Barry Allen/The Flash) and the top-rated MTV series, Spider-Man, voicing both the title character and his alter ego, Peter Parker. Harris has also lent his voice to the animated family comedy, Cats & Dogs 2: Tinkles Revenge.

Harris will soon be heard opposite Will Arnett in the D3 Productions video game, Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard. His voice work also includes creating character voices for numerous books on tape, including Henry and Ribsy by Beverly Cleary, Slake’s Limbo, Ribsy, Lump of Coal, A Very Marley Christmas and the award-winning children’s book, Henry Huggins.

Originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, Harris currently resides in Los Angeles.

I still don't get it about Andy Friffith. It's seriously ticking me off. It's not supposed to be on Tuesday nights, according to schedules on here, but every Tuesday night it's on? What are they doing? And what happened to the Cosby show? Why is that only on three nights now? Too bad about the contract for Night Court expiring, but they probably wouldn't play that anymore anyway. Just have to watch that on the dvds now

TV LAND ROLLS OUT THE RED CARPET WITH THE
“‘M*A*S*H’ WEEKEND MARATHON” FEATURING CELEBRITY GUEST APPEARANCES BY
JOHN RITTER, RON HOWARD, PATRICK SWAYZE, LAURENCE FISHBURNE,
TERI GARR, BLYTHE DANNER AND MORE

New York, NY, March 3, 2009 -- Long before “Johnny” took “Baby” out of the corner in “Dirty Dancing” and “Opie” and “Richie Cunningham” added director extraordinaire to his résumé, Patrick Swayze and Ron Howard both paid guest visits to “M*A*S*H’s” 4077th. On Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 from 8pm-4am ET/PT, catch both of these stars - along with a medley of your other favorite film and television icons - on TV Land when the network becomes a virtual celebrity central during the “‘M*A*S*H’ Weekend Marathon.” This twenty-four episode showcase features guest appearances by John Ritter, Laurence Fishburne, Teri Garr, Blythe Danner, Leslie Nielsen and more. Throughout the marathon, there will be no shortage of antics, pranks and escapades that still captivate viewers, making “M*A*S*H” one of the most successful shows ever seen on television.

“It’s always exciting to recognize huge stars on the television screen before they truly hit it big,” said Larry W. Jones, president, TV Land. “‘M*A*S*H’ is a fan favorite for our audience of people in their 40s and viewers are sure to enjoy this marathon.”

Based on the 1970 Robert Altman film of the same name, “M*A*S*H” revolves around life at the 4077th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, where wounded and sick soldiers are treated. The show centers around Dr. Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce (Alan Alda) and Dr. “Trapper” John McIntyre (Wayne Rogers), two brilliant Surgeons often preoccupied with attractive nurses, practical jokes and merry-making, all while disregarding military decorum. Their relaxed approach is a source of consternation for other medical staffers including Dr. Frank Burns (Larry Linville) and Lt. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan (Loretta Swit), whose secret love affair is no secret. Lt. Colonel Henry Blake (McLean Stevenson) is the camp commander who gives “Hawkeye” and “Trapper” free reign, further irritating Burns and “Hot Lips.” Lt. Blake is aided by the nervous, yet efficient, Corporal Walter “Radar” O’Reilly (Gary Burghoff). Other show regulars include Corporal Max Klinger (Jamie Farr), a doctor’s aide in the operating room who wears women’s clothing in hopes of being discharged and Father Francis Mulcahy (William Christopher), who runs an orphanage and serves as the unit’s chaplain.
