Red face Catchy phrases

Hey everyone! What sayings or lines have you heard on a sitcom that you say now because of it? IS it "Sit on it" or "Heeey" or even "Hello"?

Good grief, T, for someone your age, you're might ate up with Happy Days...that show was off the air before you were even born!
But, to answer your question, I'd have to say it would be some things from ALF and Beavis and Butthead. Lots of sayings.....

It really shouldn't matter when someone was born and when the shows were on. I was born in 1987, and L&S was cancelled in 1983, but it's still my favorite show... As for sayings, I don't say many catch phrases from shows, but I'm always quoting from L&S whenever someone says something that reminds me of something one of of the characters once said...

------------------
"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"

"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"

"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"

"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"

I already KNOW I'm addicted to L&S, ya don't have to tell me... And I would just like to say that it might be pathetic, but it's my life and if I want to spend it memorizing quotes from L&S anad spending my money on eBay buying L&S memorabilia and taping the episodes and taping the movies that have people from L&S on them or were directed by someone from L&S then that is how I'm going to spend it. (Sorry if I sound cranky, but I'm having a bad day)

Don't you worry, LS... *I* still thing you're cool! As a matter of fact, you're probably the coolest person I've ever met on the internet! And you are the *only* person I've ever met on the internet that I am actually envious of! Now, back on topic...

Whenever someone says anything like "I have never seen anything more disgusting than *that*!", I always try to follow up with "Hello!" in my best Squiggy voice. No one ever gets it, but I enjoy it!

I also use "Of course not, don't be rediculous!" and "Smeg Head" on a daily basis. They are a part of my daily vocabulary!

It's okay. It IS a little pathetic when you think about it, but that's just the way I am... And by the way, thanks about saying I'm cool! (Try convincing the kids at my school that, LoL. They all think I'm weird... well, the ones who actually know who I am do)

C'mon, LS... you've watched enough sit-coms.. you know what you have to do!

Find the coolest person in school and pay them to hang out with you. At first, the cool person will only hang out with you when forced to do so. But then the longer you hang out, the more that the cool person will like you! Soon, the cool person will be coming over to your house and having you take off your glasses, let your hair down, and wear make-up and cool clothes. Your popularity will grow more and more until you are the most popular person in the school! But then your old geeky friends (that's us on the message board, by the way) will say stuff like "You've changed" and you'll turn your back on us, only to realize that popularity isn't what's most important... it's *real friends* that are important! We'll all hug, learn a valuable lesson, and then Cousin Oliver/Screech/Lenny & Sqiggy/Potzie will say something funny so we can all laugh af the credits roll!

That would work except for one tiny little detail: I'm broke

Hmmmm... broke... okay, Let me think. What would a sit-com star do?

Got it.

Convince your favortie teacher to appoint you as a tutor for a really popular guy who is having problems getting a passing grade. It would be helpful if he is involved in some sport, so he has the threat of being cut from the team if he doesn't improve his grades! Once you are tutoring him, he should infuriate you by always cracking jokes and not concentrating. Threaten to leave, and he should start explaining to you that he *really* needs your helps, and he'll do *anything* for you if you can just get him a passing grade.

There's your hook

Make him agree that if you can get him a passing grade, he has to take you to the big dance (you should ALWAYS be having a "big Dance" in school). Spend every waking moment with him tutoring him, and he will pass the class. However, a few days before the dance, some girl named "Mitzi" is going to ask the guy to take her to the dance. So he's going to try to get out of your date. But don't worry! The guy is going to learn a valuable lesson about respect before the night of the big dance, so go ahead and get all dressed up for it. He'll pich you up at around 8.

Go to the dance, let your hair down, take off the glasses, blah, blah blah... And then everyone realizes how cool you are, and you become popular!

See... I *knew* that television had taught me to deal with any situation!

oooh! Great Idea!!!!! But....what if there aint a guy at her school who is having trouble....or what if there aint a big dance comin up...or! What if she can't teach him cause she's too busy thinking about L&S and not the work!??!?! Just Kidding. Great Idea though! She will have to get a beautiful gown so the guy will think she's a hottie, and then go to the dance let her hair down take off the glasses yada yada yada. You dig L&S? Will it work? If not I'm sure silentbri can pull somethin else out of his sleeve!!!
