We don't have caller id so we have to anwer the phone. Is there a way to block his number? We have tried *67 and *60 neither of which work. What is the correct thing to enter so that he can't continue to call? We have asked him repeatedly to stop calling.

Try *77 and see if that works, if not call your phone company to see if they can block his number for you.

Are you with Southwestern Bell? If you are then call block might not work because it can be gotten around if you know how.

http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/...Off0068560.htm

You might be better off investing in caller I.D. but that can easily be gotten around if he dials *77 before placing the call. This allows his number to remain anonymous on caller I.D. units. You can also add anonymous call reject which means that he will have to dial *82 to place the call. If he doesn't, He'll be blocked from calling. *77 & *82 are the primary codes for these features in most states but they could be different for your location.

Invest in some caller ID and talk to his parents about the situation.

I don't know about talking to his parents but if you do, just be warned they might get upset and he might deny it. But then, they can check with their phone bill if they can.

I agree with Zoneboy, caller I.D. will definitely help the situation, although it sounds like this guys calls have gone past being annoying, and have now become intrusive and harrassing, and so I think the better long term solution would be contacting your phone company about the situation, and seeing what they can do about it.

Regardless of what you decide to do, I hope things work out for you. I know how annoying these kinds of people can be!

If the codes aren't working then it's probably because those features aren't included with the plan you're currently on. Your phone book should have a page with the features and codes but if it's like mine, the print is so small you can barely read it. If caller I.D. isn't an option and he won't stop calling then I can think of only one other alternative and that is to change your number.

Definetly call the phone company and see what they can do to help you. I doubt it's a police matter, but idk...it could be harrassment.

Good idea if she has a non-published number. If not then anyone who calls the old number may get a recording saying The number you have dialed has been changed to XXX-XXXX, Please make a note of it. That's the message Sprint used to use when a published number was changed.
