Question Your dream home??

What would be your dream house, and where would it be located? I have two dream home ideas, but my main one would be a huge log cabin out in the Oregon woods. It wouldn't be too far out to where it would be hard to shop and stuff, but it would be atleast 30 minutes away from modern civilization. I would chop my own wood for my huge fireplace, where I'd drink hot chocolate in the Winter, and I'd have a huge wrap around porch to enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Summer and Spring. My other dream home would be near the beach, but the log cabin in the woods is my main dream. What about you all?? What kind of home would be your dream, and where in the world would it be located??

As for location, I would choose either Monteria Estates in Chatsworth, California or Hidden Hills also in Calif.

The house I would want would actually be a mansion for several reasons... enough room to hold my collectables, a big room to have a permanent Halloween display, a threatre room, etc.

Here are some photos to provide examples:

I'd love a little log cabin like the one Hayden Fox owned on Coach. It was so cozy and quaint!!

My dream home would be a big log home out near the Big Horn Mts. I would build my house in around the Mts. so I could see them out of every window. I would have a river in my front yard so I could go fishing whenever I wanted. Inside my house would be a big living room with a fireplace. I would have a big kitchen to cook in I would make a room just for the pool and hot tub he downstairs would be big enough for a game room, exercise room, soda bar and nice big entertainment center. The outside would have a porch with a roof in the front and a porch with no roof in the back. The front porch I would have a swing and table and chairs. The back porch would have an area with a built in fireplace pit with a lounging area round it.

Another dream house of mine is a house boat. I would live on a lake somewhere out West

My dream house will be a straw bale house with solar and wind power. It will be a one story home. It will have a porch with chairs. Everything in the house will be green and energy efficient. It would be built here in AZ. I want about 5 acres and a garden plus animals.

A straw house might work in Arizona, but, it would be mighty impractical, here in Canada....good luck on that though, green is good !

I don't think they'd work here in northeast Ohio, either - especially right off the lake. But good luck to those who can pull it off.

That's a pretty house. That's kind of what I would want, I love Victorian homes I think they have alot of character. Grand Rapids has an area that's called Heritage Hills that has a bunch of great Victorian homes.

I wouldn't mind a two bedroom home with a basement, a huge fully furnished kitchen and plenty of open air space so I can put in a game room, office in the 2nd bedroom, and a work station for my husband in the basement. I'd like it to be in Hawaii, near Pipeline.

Something like The Winchester House....

Except it would have a Bowling Alley, an Indoor Pool, a Home Theater, a Basketball Court, and it would have more architect style than Victorian.

In other words, youd want something completely different
