I haven't, but my aunt used to be a personal assistant to some opera stars in New York. She also told me one, really impressive story. She said one time she was at a friend's house for a party that was held on the back patio. She went inside and said there was this really pretty girl who was too shy to come outside. My aunt said she sat down and talked to her for about ten minutes then went back outside to the party. She found out later from the hostess that the houseguest (the girl my aunt had talked to) was Marilyn Monroe. I am not kidding! She said she never would have recognized her. She didn't look all glam or anything, she just looked like a sweet kid who was having a tough time. She treasures that memory.

She is single so you never know!
Maybe I'll tell her I own a limo. That may help.

Berton was my all-time favorite historian and author; I wish I'd met him before his death a few years ago; what wonderful talks about Canadian history we could have had! (Ironically, I found out that he regularly had frequented a pub just a half hour away [in the next town], just days before his death!)

The closest that we've ever had in the house was my Aunt Jeanne who sometimes babysat Paul Anka, when he was a kid.

I never had anyone famous stay at my house, but a friend of mine had the band Lovin' Spoonful stayed at her house one time. If I can remember the story correctly, they were doing a show near her house and for some reason wherever they were supposed to stay fell threw and my friend knew somebody who worked for the venue or wherever they were playing at. I guess my friend said she'd let them stay (or maybe they asked her?) and so they did! She lives in a pretty small town so I think they were doing a show probably at a county fair or a casino near by. That's how it usually is in rural areas!
