We finally bottomed out at -44 here - ACTUAL temperature - and set a record for that day, the other day. We didn't set a town or state record for the temperature, though... Town record was -45 and state record was -60, both in different years.

Oh, and we got about 8 inches of snow over 48 hours. 'Twas fun.

We're finally going to get temperatures that'll hit above 30 for at least a couple of days before the temps drop back down into the teens. So, guys, shred these coats and come up here. Unfortunately, we've had over 5 feet (currently 61something inches) of snow this winter, so there's a mother****ing LOT of it here.

Good 'ole North Dakota.

And ya know, that's the funny thing. I think my area has probably gotten some of the least amount of snow! Up north is worse.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- A dog died after someone who broke into a Kalamazoo home drenched the helpless animal in household cleaners.

Police say only a few dollars' worth of coins were taken during the burglary.

Pet owner Nancy Sheppard was at work Tuesday when someone entered her home and poured the toxic liquids onto her small, dark-haired dachshund mix named Lucky.

The animal was in a crate and unable to avoid the attack. He was rushed to a local animal hospital but later died.

A neighbor noticed Sheppard's front door open and called the police. Officers found the home ransacked with empty bottles of household cleaner strewn about and the dog "dripping wet and foamy."

Cleaning fluids filled Lucky's food and water dishes and crate.

I felt so stupid today in English that I went into the bathroom and cried.

Just shoot them. Or make them drink bleach. People like that don't deserve to live; all they're doing is wasting space and using resources decent people need. Kill em, throw them in the ocean, and let them feed a sea kitten.
