Heart Hogan Family Star Jeremy Licht Is Going to be a Dad!

Jeremy Licht, former child star of the '80s sitcom The Hogan Family, and his wife Kimberly Wallis Licht are expecting their first child, a girl, in early February, he tells PEOPLE exclusively.

"I'm excited about becoming a Dad. I always knew I wanted a child. It just never quite worked out until now,” says Licht, 37, who starred as Jason Bateman's brainy brother on the series.

"We feel very lucky to be at this place in our lives – to have finally found each other and gotten it right," adds Wallis Licht, 38, who is also an actress that has appeared on episodes of CSI: NY and Charmed and plans to continue acting once she's a mom. "Knock on wood, I've had an easy pregnancy, no morning sickness, no crazy cravings. The plan is to try to get the body back as fast as possible and jump back in."

Licht expects his life will change once he's a father, but he says he's ready for the challenge. "Everyone has this subtle laughter, like you don't know what you're getting into. But I'm looking forward to it much more than I'm scared."

The couple met on the Jewish online dating site, JDate.com, in 2005 and married over Memorial Day weekend in 2007. It's the second marriage and first child for both of them.

Licht had a hard time getting showbiz work after The Hogan Family went off the air in 1991, so he started his own financial planning company, JL Capital Management. He also sells health and life insurance, but doesn't rule out a return to acting.
