Default The Truth Behind Night Owls and Morning People

http://www.divinecaroline.com/articl...t-owls-morning

Thought this was an interesting article. It makes sense, anyway. I am DEFINITELY one of those night owl people. I stay up late and get up late (if I don't have class, somewhere to go, etc). I don't know how morning people do it. They wake up and everything is sunshine and rainbows...me? I honestly won't even open my mouth for a half hour or so after I get up. Too miserable.

How about you guys?

Excellent article, Ashlee. I liked reading the comments below too. I'm the same way in the morning, but worse. I won't even talk until I've had a cup of coffee. I don't turn the phone on unless the java's gotten the cobwebs out of my brain, lol. My husband even knows to leave me be. When I do come around, I'm in a great mood. I was a night owl when I was a baby, I really was, lol.

That's how I am. Mornings are neat, but most of the time I'd just prefer to sleep through them.

And actually, I find nighttime depressing, but if I was on a nowhere-to-go schedule, I'd be up all night and sleep all day. I'd just become almost incapable of going to bed before 2am.

I'm a night owl myself. I can't do much of anything in the morning until I've my OJ and a cup of coffee.

That's my problem...I'm a night person who doesn't drink coffee. Not to mention I'm going into journalism...my advisor told me if I don't drink coffee in that field I better start. So, that doesn't help mornings any.

I feel the most awake at night. And I actually find the daytime more depressing lol, especially if it's a rainy day. To me night is more relaxing and there's less to worry about, so I actually feel like existing. Not to mention it's rediculously hard for me to wake up in the morning. I could sleep for over 12 hours if there was nothing stopping me. It's horrible lol.

Unfortunately my roommate hasn't picked up on the fact that I refuse to talk in the morning. She'll go on and on about something like she's been up for hours, and I'm just like "Mmhm, mmhm."

That's the exact same way I am, Ashlee. I don't drink coffee, either.

I never go to sleep before 2am and sometimes stay up as late as 4am on weekends(3am on weeknights usually), and conversely if I'm ever up before 10am the whole day is ruined. I also feel the most awake from the early evening til after Midnight, and I also do not drink coffee.

I'm such a night owl that I even planned my college classes to not throw off my schedule with 11am classes. I had 8am classes my first semester back in January 2007(when my advisor picked my classes for me, blah) and it almost killed me. It was dreadful.

I am a night owl due to my job since I work nights, but even when I am off I usually stay up past 2am, so I wont get thrown off track.

Also I drink coffee
