Episode Ten
"The Return of Chrissy"

Scene- Apartment

Janet and Jack are sitting on the couch. Janet has a bowl of chips by her and is eating them.

Jack: Must you eat all those?

Janet: Jack, this is the last one.

Janet picks up another chip and eats it. And then another.

Jack: I thought you said you'd stop!?

Janet: I had my fingers crossed!

Jack: Janet, Janet really....

The doorbell rings

Jack goes up and opens it. Standing there is ... Chrissy! <The Audience Cheers>

Jack: Chrissy!

Chrissy: Jack!

Jack: Chrissy!

Chrissy: Jack!

Jack: Chrissy!

Chrissy: Jack!

Jack: Chrissy, why are we doing this?

Chrissy: I don't know!

Jack: I thought you knew.

Chrissy: You're supposed to know!

They start bickering.

Janet: Guys, guys! Chrissy, how have you been?

They hug.

Chrissy: Oh, fine!

Jack: How did you know where we were?

Chrissy: The Ropers told me.

Janet: How did you know the Ropers' were the landlords?

Chrissy: Oh, I went to Chevrolet Hills and asked that Jeffrey P. Brookes, III guy.

Jack: Wait a minuet! Didn't Cindy say that she was married to him!?

Janet: Yeah she did.

Cindy enters

Janet: Cindy, are you REALLY married to Brookes?

Cindy: Yeah, I sure am!

Chrissy: No your not! HE still lives with Ann!

Cindy: Uh, guys, your right. I didn't want Chrissy to stay with me, and Aunt Becky called and told me Chrissy was coming. I knew Chrissy would come here, and I knew you'd ask me to let Chrissy stay with me.

Jack: Will you?

Cindy: Nope! Bye guys!

Cindy exits

Terri enters, in tears

Chrissy: Hi, Terri! Remember me? Hey, why are you crying?

Terri: The hospital laid me off. I got a job at EZ Pretzel, but I can only pay half of my share of the rent!

Jack: Hey, I have an idea! Why doesn't Chrissy board with us?

Janet: Jack!! Don't ou think Chrissy has her own house? You do, don't you?

Chrissy: Well...I did, but they kicked me out!

Jack: Why?

Chrissy: They didn't understand anything I said!

Jack: Well, you can live in the guest room! (FYI, Terri and Larry have one room, Richie has one room <He will share it with the new baby>, and Jack and Janet share a room. There's one guest room)

Chrissy: Oh thanks! How much do I pay each month?

Jack: $100. Where do you work anywhere.

Chrissy: Well, JT said I can work at her place again!

Janet: Well, Chrissy, that's great! But I want to tell you something!

Chrissy: What?

Janet: Me and Jack are going to have a...baby!

Chrissy: Congrats! But I didn't know Jack could have a baby! <Snort, Snort>

Jack: Oh, you little kidder. <Snort, Snort>

Chrissy: I have to go pick up my bags from my old apartment.

They trade byes. Chrissy exits. Terri goes into her and Larry's room.

Janet: Jack Tripper! How could you?

Jack: What?

Janet: You know perfectly well! You're letting Chrissy stay because she's so pretty!

Jack: I did not! Why would I do it for that reason, anyway?

Janet: Because I'm Fat Pat the Waterat!

Jack: Fat Pat the Waterat?

Janet: See you said it yourself!

Jack: Janet, what's wrong?

Janet: Oh, I'm sorry Jack.

They hug as scene fades.
