Question Mrs. Garrett's Watch

Okay you guys, I completely admit that this is totally retarded of me, but I was just watching the "Guess What's Coming To Dinner" episode (the one where Chef Antoine returns and Jo tries to catch and kill the squirrel) and I just happened to notice Mrs. Garrett wearing her watch on her right hand. That got me to wondering if Charlotte Rae is left-handed. Does anybody know? I just happen to be a stickler for details and I was just curious.

Thanks! I think that is so cool! Lefties are awesome. Several people said that I should have been a leftie because of the way I eat (I hold my knife in my left hand and my fork in my right) and because of the way I hold my pen or pencil, even though I am right-handed. I think it was one of my high school teachers who told me that since the left side of your brain controls your body's right side and vice versa and that the right side of your brain is responsible for the more creative things we do (like art for example) that people who are left-handed tend to be very creative and use the right side of their brains more. That's so true when you look at Charlotte's performances. She is sooooo creative and full of life and humor, and her facial expressions in her performances are just amazing. I LOVE watching her perform. No wonder her character became so popular so quickly and NBC was in such a rush to start her off in her own series.

Even though I'm right handed I wear my watch on both my right and left arm. Everyone thinks that's weird.

I am very happy to see that there are people in the world other than me who are interested in left-handedness! I have been facinated with this topic ever since my early twenties! I noticed the left-handedness of these two characters a couple of years ago. I have recently posted messages about this topic on the pages of "Friends", "Gimme a Break", and "Mad About You". This is because there were left-handed performers on all of these sereis. So far, the only thread that has stimulated any responses is the one on "Friends". Shortly after I post this message, I will go over to that page and tell everyone there about my post here! Until next time!

I don't think it's weird but I do think it's kind of funny. Maybe I ought to join you and start up a trend!

Yes she and Mac are lefties. You can see them both writing left handed throughout the series.
