Default Isn't it too early for a Penny/Leonard romance?

I know in this day and age in television you never know when the show might be cancelled, but I think it is too early for them to be interested in eachother. Who agrees?

I don't think they will really stay together for long. The writers will only tease us with it sort of like Ross and Rachel in Friends. What I think happens is the show will end with them getting together sort of coming full circle. However, I hope this does not occur for many, many seasons down the road.

Yeah, I agree that it is too early for a romantic relationship to take place between them. I think we're going to be better off with just little teasers between the 2 characters for the next few years. This show is obviously going to be around for awhile still, so there's no need to rush anything.

What I didn't like last season, though, was how they went many episodes in a row without even bringing up the relationship, mainly in the post-strike episodes that had Sheldon as the center of attention. They still need to hook viewers by telling them something probably will happen down the line.

Absolutely correct about that. The show hit a bit of a lull after the strike, but picked up creatively for the last 4 or 5 episodes of the season. Hopefully, this will be a great season with many more to come.

Yeah, those episodes were definitely a low-point in the first season, and you could definitely tell that from the ratings those episodes got. But, it definitely did pick up by the end of the season, and the season finale was great. I'm hoping the show doesn't go through a sophomore slump and continues to deliver in the second season.

I think it's too early too. But like others have mentioned, the relationship probably won't last for too long right now, giving us Penny/Leonard fans something to look forward to in the end. At least that's what I think. The whole Ross/Rachel deal is very probable...I can see that happening.
I'd just rather have them get together later than too early in the series, because too many things can go wrong.

I really do think that Penny and Leeonard would make a good couple.
