Yesterday, I got a call from one of my good childhood friend's telling me that her mother just passed away, and I starting getting chills & goosbumps. I knew that her mother, as well as her father were not doing too good with their health; both in a hospital but, I had figured that maybe her father would go first. It's so sad cause she was like a mother to me, and my friend and her mother were really close; just like I used to be with my late mother. Last week, I went to a funeral service for one of my uncles; the last one in the family on my mother's side. Now, only my aunt is left; along with cousins, and so forth. I was hoping that I wouldn't see another funeral for a long time but, now I will be attending another one real soon. For all those who lost someone really close and dear to them as I have; my thoughts and prayers are with you; please say a prayer for me, and my friend who will need that thru this hard time right now, and for the upcoming months and years especially the first year which I found to be the hardest. For my friend's mother; may she rest in peace ![]() (Good Bye Mother Martin; you will be deeply missed by all = luv you) ** you will always be in my thoughts, prayers, and in my heart ** |

My prayers are with you, your friend and her family. It's always hard losing those we love. It never gets any easier either, as you're seeing.

Well, now her father passed away; so sad and depressing. My friend called me tuesday around lunch time to tell me that her father was in a coma and it did not look too good for him; told her to keep me posted. Then, she called me back later that day around supper time to tell me; that he had passed away. I feel so bad for her; losing both parents within 6 months of each other approximately. She lost her mother August 29, 2008. ![]() |

OMG! That is so heartbreaking to lose both parents. Your friend will need your love and support more than ever. I will certainly keep you and your friend in my prayers.
------------- ![]() There are really no words that can be spoken to soften the sorrow or lessen the loss that is felt from losing someone close to us. At the passing of a loved one, those of us that are left behind feel a profound sense of sadness, emptiness, and grief for awhile. Pangs of deep loneliness set in as we survivors envision a future without the deceased. It is so difficult to realize that our loved one will no longer be present physically to share conversations, walks, hugs, or ideas with us. It is such a great loss because it involves losing a piece of yourself ... a part of what was a very important part of your life. Everyone and everything that we love becomes a part of us. But it's important to realize that departed loved ones will always be with us. They live on in our hearts, in memories of their teachings, and in the lives of all who know them. They are very close to us in spirit, having only gone beyond the sound of our voices and the touch of our hands. While death brings sadness, we should also try to have a sense of joy for the loved one who enters into a "new home." After the first stabbing anguish of grief has been softened by time, we may find great comfort in knowing that our loved ones are safe and free from all tears, pain, trials, and troubles ... for now they are where nothing can ever hurt them again. ---------------------- http://www.pennyparker2.com/comfort.html |
