Default If you are a fan of the Jeffersons, Facts of life, or Diffrent Strokes, read this

Please Remember not to buy any more seasons of the shows you love. I don't think anymore Fans should be ripped OFF like some of us already have by purchasing the individual seasons on DVD only to find out that Sony comes out with a series set for a show that is already out there and the total price for that series set ends up being a lot cheaper for each season.. Good Example of this, Sanford and Son.

So I think it's good to just wait and not buy anymore individual seasons as tempting as it would to see a season 3 release of Diffrent Strokes or season 7 realease of the Jeffersons, since we know that Sony has every intention of releasing a series set of those three shows too once they are complete, it's just better to not even waste your money until the Series set comes out.

You'll be waiting a decade then to get it for each of those. They are moving on a snail pace in those series, unlike Soap, Good Times, Sanford & Son, and What's Happening, which were released quick and will/have complete series sets out.

Shows like Facts of Life, Jeffersons, Diff'rent Strokes are no where near complete on DVD and if you want to wait for a complete series set, you'll be waiting until 2018, lol. Plus you're not helping in making these season sets come out faster by not buying them. Those series that came out quick, like those I mentioned, sold very well. Not a good point, Solomon at all.

Well I guess I have to wait because I no longer want to feel like a FOOL like I did when the series sets of Sanford and Son and the Cosby Show were released. I also decided to hold off on buying anymore seasons of Gomer Pyle since it;s complete on DVD and see if CBS paramount does a series set

I guess you won't see season 7 of The Jeffersons until your 50 then when the complete series set comes out, lol. If you buy the season set, then you might get it next year. I'm sure you'll buy Season 7 when it comes out, I know you too well...

I understand both sides, but honestly I would be very happy if they went ahead and released a complete series of "The Jeffersons" and wouldn't think twice about the money I paid for seasons 1-6. Especially if Sony is expecting the sales of seasons 7-11 to taper off anyway.

Well I just it's best for me to stop right here, and see what happen with the remaining 5 seasons

You must have good willpower, because I don't. There's no way in hell I would not purchase a season of "The Jeffersons" knowing it was readily available...

Sony just has know skills in adding bonus features so unless checking in was included with season 7, I can't see myself buying any of the seasons. I'm scared to buy anymore seasons of Gomer Pyle-lol

They do suck with bonus features. I was really excited when I first heard about the season 1 release because I thought it would include interviews with the cast members, and now several of them have passed away between the release of seasons 1-6, and those cast members would have offered invaluable insight into the making of the show (especially Isabel Sanford), and two seasons were released before she passed away.

And I know that Isabel loved talking about her time on "The Jeffersons", and wouldn't have thought twice about recording bonus features.

Yes there were no bonus features on none of the Jeffersons releases so I don't expect any of the other seasons to be any different

Solomon, that's really not a good idea. If you enjoy a show as much as you obviously do The Jeffersons, you should buy the season sets as they come out (IF they come out-LOL). Besides, with a show like The Jeffersons, that ran 11 seasons, a complete series set may not come out. Sony only seems interested in releasing cheap complete series sets for their shorter series that are complete. Think - Soap only ran 4 seasons, WH only ran 3, Good Times and Sanford and Son ran 6, and NewsRadio ran 5.

I guess it will just take me a long time to buy any more individual seasons because I just felt like Sony slapped me in the face when they came out with the Series set of Sanford and Son and WH. Its just not right and it would be more of me not wanting to let Sony take advantage of me again instead of me not supporting the Jeffersons by refusing to purchase new season releases of the show.

I do now how you feel, but if every fan of The Jeffersons felt the way you did, we wouldn't be seeing a complete series release.

And, I'm sure you're better off with the season sets - those complete series sets are nothing but crappy, cheap Sony products.
