I have the complete series. Unfortunately I don't remember what season that particular extra was on.

Yes he did - a little "scullcap" one for the crown of his head. I never had a clue until he admitted once Cheers ended. He's got a really good one - must be one of those "Shatner Turbo" models!! lol

Also, the one that shocked me was Billy Zane. You see him in Titanic all dashing with this dark head of hair, yet he's as bald as a cue ball.

If it's a really good rug, I think there's nothing wrong with a guy wearing one. It's the bad ones that are just pathetic.

In this day and age, I think nothing now of guys colouring their hair, wearing toupees, and even getting facials and manicures. I like a guy to take care of himself a bit. It's also fun to sit in an evening giving each other masks and stuff.

His are plugs though - implants, not a rug. His hair lately gives me the creeps actually. It looks more like it was sprayed on.

Yah, Elton definitely wears one. He was thinning in his 20s even. The first one he had was a really bad one, but the ones he's been sporting the last few years look good I think. (Actually, they're identical to the one my ex has worn for the past 20 years). They ain't cheap either! Each one runs around $4000, and then you go in every few months to get it "topped up" until it gets to the point that you need a whole new one. They're made with real human hair (usually from Europe) and are coloured to match your hair exactly. (Or should be - someone needs to tell Estrada to either colour his own hair, or have grey woven into the piece cuz that does look like an otter sitting on a rock)!!!

And they now make them for women (thankfully). More and more women are experiencing alopecia and need fill ins or full wigs. They look more natural than traditional wigs and are cooler to wear.

It looked like Elton John had a different rug for each show. It works since he wears a different costume every concert.

Yah I know. For a while it was like he kept changing them to get one he really liked and felt comfortable with.

It's always worked for him. Even the bad ones I never heard him getting any bad press on and it is probably because he's always been a "cameleon". I think he might have even tried plugs but they didn't take.

I'm pretty sure Sean Connery only wore a toupee if a movie role required it. I have seen pictures of him in interviews where it is clear he wasn't wearing a hairpiece.

Max Gail from Barney Miller wore a hairpiece on the show, but not in real life. There were pictures of him in tabloid papers where he was out on the town without any hair on top.

There's a clip from a press conference John Wayne gave in his later years. A reporter asked him if his hair was fake. He replied, "The hair on my head is real. It's not my hair, but it's real."

Max Gail also insisted on not wearing his hairpiece in the Jack Soo Retrospective, when the actors broke the fourth wall. Good for him!!

Steve Harvey definitely wore a Toupee for years(including during the entire run of "The Steve Harvey Show"). He no longer wears one though. I saw him recently on a talk show and his head was fully bare.

Me neither.

I read other threads about his toup and I tried to watch some of his earlier work on Def Comedy Jams to watch for the shots of his head and there was some shades of him blading out some.

Here's some pics of former ABC News Reporter Sam Donaldson:

Check out the pic on the right.

Kind of funny how his toupee matches his eyebrows more than his own real hair!
