This episode, I feel, has some really funny moments. Gilligan faking the illness
is great, as is the trying to sleep scene. One night I was in the next room eating something with a noisy wrapper and, the next day, my husband complained, "Couldn't [i] just get a nice, quiet banana?" or something to that effect! Also, when Maryann knocks the Skipper with the water jugs! Doesn't Ginger look really pretty in the waiting for Wrongway to get back scene? It's strange that the Professor's wish is for a soft bed; isn't he used to roughing it on all his archaeological expeditions. Perhaps they have cots with mattresses, though. What is it with Wrongway trying to hang up his coat and then constantly taking it down? Wrongway makes me feel very inactive in this one. I, myself, live in New York and he found out more about the rents and saw more Broadway plays than I'd ever in that amount of time! Really! That really stinks--that Wrongway has to get right out of bed and start work on a construction site without having any breakfast or even coffee. Ouch! I ask my son not to ask me anything conversational until I've eaten--I couldn't imagine going from bed to hard labor (yes, although I'm sure many poor people must do this or worse). It's interesting that many people would actually agree with Wrongway--that it's better on GI than back in civilization. My husband always says they're idiots for wanting to leave. |
