Default Kevin Costner Considers 'The Bodyguard' Sequel

Actor KEVIN COSTNER has raised hopes for a sequel to 1992 classic THE BODYGUARD - after admitting he would love to reprise his role as the former Secret Service agent.

Costner, who starred as bodyguard Frank Farmer opposite Whitney Houston's character Rachel Marron in the hit movie, has never made a sequel to any of his films - but he reveals he already has a plot idea in mind should studio bosses change their minds.

He tells the New York Daily News, "Bodyguard could have had one (a sequel).

"No (Marron and Farmer wouldn't reunite), I think he was true to his word; he didn't want to guard celebrities anymore."

That should be...interesting. Actually, I remember reading that The Bodyguard was intended to star Diana Ross and Ryan O'Neal. That was back in the 1970s, so the script had been around a long time!!!!

Sorry, but I absolutely hated this movie. I'm not a fan of Kevin Costner (I only liked him in "Bull Durham" and "Message in a Bottle") and I cannot stand Whitney Houston.

Again I apologize for being so blunt, but I just had to mention that.

Let's face it, Costner could use a hit.

Maybe reprising a role from one of his more successful movies could do the trick.

How about he comes out of retirement to protect a young wild child starlet?

Miley Cyrus wants to branch out into more adult roles - this could work.

Wow, this is so cheesy it might work.

I should be a friggin studio executive!

That sounds like a great idea! Heck if Miley Cyrus is in it, you know it'd be an instant hit! She's everywhere!
