Post POSSIBLE EMERGENCY SITUATION FOR SITCOM FANS!!!

Say everybody... I was just thinking (which is dangerous). Nick at Night has all these new shows they're planning on adding to the line-up after Block Party Summer is over... so that means that some of the shows that are there right now will have to be going! Does anybody know which shows will be going away, and which ones will be staying? Which ones wouldn't you mind seeing dropped from the line up?

Definately BRADY BUNCH (See my topic entitled "Brady Bunch sucks" on the Brady Bunch message board)! I think Gee what can I do while I wait for this stupid show to end...mop the floor...take a nap...eat some popcorn...do the dishes ya know something more interesting. BORING SHOW! I hope they don't take away happy days! Any show but that!

No, not Brady Bunch! It's too good of a show to go away! I was thinking that Bewitched and Beverly Hillbillies could go away though... I feel the same way about those loosers as you do about the Brady's.

They can do whatever the heck they feel like with any show on their lineup, just as long as they keep my Perfect Strangers! However, I do wish they'd keep All In The Family. Those are two of my all time favorite shows (Along with ALF & Small Wonder).

Okay, so the two new major contenders are Head of the Class and Perfect Strangers. What other party crasher shows are new to the lineup? If we only have to make room for those two, we may not need to loose anything... just ditch one of the multiple showings of Lucy, and one of the multiple showings of Gilligan. It's that simple!

Oh, I forgot about Andy Griffith.

Uh... I vote that Andy should get the position that the Jeffersons currently have. That's another show I can do without.

The Jeffersons just leave a bad taste in my mouth, probably because of the multiple Lionel's they used (how many different actors played that part? 3?)

I probably haven't given The Jeffersons a chance though, because of a terrible memory from my childhood. Channel 12 had an afternoon lineup right after school that rocked; GI Joe, Transformers, My Little Pony, He-Man, Gilligan's Island, and The Monkees (in that order). 3 hours of after school bliss! Then, one fateful fall afternoon, the lineup changed. It was now an hour of crappy Tom & Jerry Cartoons, followed by Teh Jeffersons and M*A*S*H, then a new local news program. I never forgave them for that, and I hold a deep resentment for The Jeffersons (although I have gotten over my hatred of M*A*S*H).

What about the Hogan Family? That's a good show! I agree with bringing in Head of the Class. And the Hillbillies and All in the Family should be on TV Land--not Nick-at-Nite.

Thanks!

*EXACTLY*! The so-called *classic* shows should all be moved to TVLand, and the modern classics should be on on NAN. Give us a good line-up on NAN featuring Happy Days, Head of the Class, Laverne and Shirley, Alf, Hogan Family, and maybe Boosom Buddies. Oh, maybe a little bit of Night Court as well? Becuase let's face it... none of these shows are exactly ground breaking. Put your ground breakers on TVLand, where they belong! When I think TVLand, I think of the things that made television great. When i think NAN, I think of things that are just funny and entertaining.

Thanks Silentbri. Alf would also be great--I loved that show! In my opinion, he's one of the best actors to ever appear on TV.:-) I also think the Cosby Show would be good on Nick at Nite. I'm surprised it's not on there already!

Hogans Heroes belongs on TVLand... And so do shows like "My Favorite Martian", "My Mother the Car", and "Car 54, Where Are You?"

But speaking of TVLand, what ever happened to those great Saturday Mornings they where doing? They really need to bring those back, and play them till a time when us on the West Coast can enjoy them (I think they ended at around 4AM for us over here!)
