JOHN MCCAIN "I DIDN'T LOVE AMERICA UNTILL HELD HOSTAGE

Republicans have hammered Michelle Obama for her remarks in February that she was proud of America "for the first time in my adult life." Tonight, however, Dan Abrams showed footage he uncovered of a Fox News interview with John McCain on March 13, 2008, in which McCain said, "I didn't really love America until I was deprived of her company."

Abrams thinks McCain's comments could undermine the "right wing's steady attacks against Michelle Obama."

It's not a big deal because the Obama campaign isn't trying to make it a big deal. The Obama camp does not question Mccain's patriotism. Obama just want the Republican's to lay off his wife, when she made the statment "for the 1st time in my adult lifetime proud to be American comment....Now if Obama wanted to.. he could take McCain's I DIDN'T LOVE AMERICA comments and go to the media & say what a UNPATRIOTIC thing to say about your country and that will keep it in the news for 3-5 days if not longer. But no Obama wants to fight fair...Unlike the Republican's If the Republican's don't lay off Michelle...Obama may have to use McCain's I DIDN'T LOVE AMERICA comments against him. McCain really can't afford any more negative comment...he's already losing in the battlegrounds states and in the general match up polls.

Relatively speaking (age-wise), while McCain was a POW in Vietnam, Michelle Obama was attending an Ivy League College. Anyone want to compare their two experiences?

Michelle Obama comes from a church that we already know teaches hatred of America (unless of course, she wasn't there on any of the Sundays when Wright taught that message of hate).

I guess we could always lock Michelle up in a Vietnamese cell for 5 years, and see if she changes her tune then.


I wonder if Michelle Obama was proud of Colin Powell when he became Chairman of the Joint Chiefs... unless she thinks Powell wasn't black enough.

And what is with the "makeover"? Why is it that EVERY time a Democrat runs for President, their wives ALWAYS have to get makeovers for the campaign? Doesn't matter, Hillary, Tipper, Teresa Heinz-Kerry (it would take a hell of a lot more than a makeover to help HER), and now Michelle Obama?
