i went on his page and this what it says as you scroll down the page:

David Bret's book Clark Gable: Tormented Star (2007) claims that Gable had relationships with openly homosexual men and was "gay for pay" in his early career. It claims that Gable was branded a "sissy" by his father as a child, prompting him to adopt a macho image and denounce homosexuality.[34]

and so perhaps, it might be true after all. what do you think?

Well, he may have been unsure about his sexuality....either way, many "gay" prostitutes are NOT gay, only doing it for the money.....at the most, it sounds as if he might have been bisexual; but, there is NO doubt that he also loved women. (Not to mention that a book written 45 years after someone's death, can pretty much claim anything; if there's no one left to refute it)

As far as i know, he's never publicly declared it, however, every source I've read, claims that he is, but prefers not to discuss his private life.
(which is certainly his perogative)

The ones that stick out to me are:

Raymond Burr - he was gay after the death of his wife.

Robert Reed - was married in the '50s to his only wife and came out gay.

Tom Villard - actor/comedian and also GS player in the '80s and was also one of the subjects of people in the '80s and early '90s who died in the on-going wave of AIDS in the late '80s/early '90s.

Dick Sargent

Danny Pintauro - Who's the Boss?; confessed he was gay in 1997.

Ellen DeGeneres

Ann Heche - also had a brief relationship w/ Ellen DeGeneres and is also a bisexual.

Rosie O'Donnell

Chastity "Chas" Bono - daughter of Sonny & Cher

Paul Lynde

Neil Patrick Harris - Doogie Howser MD and How I Met Your Mother

Sarah Gilbert

TV Characters that are/were gay:

Jodie Dallas - Soap; he was the first openly gay character on TV.

Nell Carter gay?!?!

I doubt that one

David Hyde Pierce? - Something told me he was a g-a-y.

That's why I hate hearing about stuff after someone is dead, no one is left to refute it so I tend not to believe those kinds of stories with nothing to back them up.

doesn't anyone here find it coincidental that just because someone- be it a male/female celeb- is reported or is known in the media to be single or is not settled in a (hetrosexual) relationship, people assume they might be gay/lesbian? why do they make such a big deal in finding out about this? frankly who they sleep with is their choice and their business- straight or not
