Thanks so much for these pictures! "Five Year Plan" has me interested simply for the fact that Steve Howey and Lee Thompson Young are in it. I'm also curious about "Bad Mother's Handbook."

I also am looking forward to the promotional picture for "18 to Life."

I really hope Prince of Motor City is picked-up because of the lovely Piper Perabo (in the green top with the grey skirt).

Some edits:

- On Tuesday, September 9, an all-new “Wipeout” will air in the 9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT slot. “Wipeout” will still also air and be all-new in the 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT slot as well on that date.

- The season finale of High School Musical: Get in the Picture is now on Monday, September 15, 2008 in its normal 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT time period and not two-hours on a special night (Sept. 16) like previously reported.

- The “Wipeout” season finale is now scheduled to air as a 90-minute episode on Tuesday, September 16, 2008 from 8:00-9:30 PM ET/PT time period followed by the highly anticipated special “Primetime: UFO’s...Seeing is Believing” from 9:30-11:00 PM ET/PT.

ABC will start to pick-up shows for mid-season (and hold some for fall 2009) very soon. Among the shows in the running:

Bad Mother's Handbook (sitcom)
Better Off Ted (sitcom)
Castle (drama)
Captain Cook's Extraordinary Atlas (drama)
Cupid (drama-comedy)
The Prince Of Motor City (drama)
Single With Parents (sitcom)
The Unusuals (drama)

A few of those will be held until fall 2009 (possibly Atlas, Prince and Handbook). Fourplay (or now known as Significant Others) could also be in that category. Shows like Finnegan have no chance, while Good Behavior, Roman's Empire and Never Better are slipping. More news soon.

Too bad about Roman's Empire - that was the one ABC comedy I was hoping would make it. But, maybe it's a good thing - Kelsey Grammar really does need some time off.

Fourplay sounds decent - hopefully that'll make it in next fall.

ABC will announce tomorrow that 5 additional series will be added for mid-season and will join The Goode Family, The Untitled Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks Reality Project and the ABC premiere of Scrubs, along with returning series According to Jim, The Bachelor, Lost and ABC News' Primetime: What Would You Do. Here are the additional series pickups for mid-season:

Better Off Ted (sitcom)
Castle (drama)
Cupid (drama-comedy)
Single With Parents (sitcom)
The Unusuals (drama)

A few others will be saved for Fall 2009 consideration.

I'll post the press release tomorrow morning.

I am glad to see ABC is picking up the new Alyssa Milano sitcom called Single With Parents. I love Alyssa, and have high hopes for this one.

Maybe ABC will final hit on a sitcom after about 3 years of sitcom bombs.

Using these five pick-ups, I think ABC should do something like this for mid-season:

New/time change in bold

JANUARY
(nights changed listed only)

Mondays
8:00PM The Untitled Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks Reality Project (I believe this will be 90-minutes)
9:30PM Single with Parents
10:00PM The Bachelor

Tuesdays
8:00PM Opportunity Knocks / According to Jim (2x)?
9:00PM Scrubs
9:30PM The Goode Family
10:00PM Eli Stone

Wednesdays
8:00PM Pushing Daisies
9:00PM Private Practice
10:00PM Dirty Sexy Money / Lost (Feb)

Thursdays
8:00PM Ugly Betty
9:00PM Grey's Anatomy
10:00PM Cupid

MARCH
(nights changed listed only)

Mondays
8:00PM Dancing with the Stars (Cycle 8)
9:30PM Single with Parents / Samantha Who
10:00PM Castle

Tuesdays
8:00PM Scrubs
8:30PM Better off Ted
9:00PM Dancing with the Stars: The Results
10:00PM The Unusuals

Thursdays
8:00PM Ugly Betty
9:00PM Grey's Anatomy
10:00PM Life on Mars

I need to see the five new series for better judgment, though.
