Default Did Thelma's Ignorant A$$ friend annoy anyone else in this season 4 episode?

the episode when Thelma was suspended for insulting the principal. Remember the girl who came to the house(Betty Jean on Welcom back Kotter)
and when J.J saw her he was flirting with her and then she starts saying smart sh*t to him? i was like how are you going to insult a relative of the friend house you are visting for the first time?

She was just suppossed to let him down him easy since was a GUEST. that ep annoys me every time I see it

The only thing I didn't like was when she called him a clown. He didn't do nothing to be called a clown, he was just trying to get with her.

Craftman and Solomon, you both are right on!!!! She wasn't all that. It wasn't like she was hot and could pick and choose men. And the fact she was calling him a clown...why??? He was being himself. And you don't go into someone's home and put down any member in the family.

BTW, did Thelma say anything beforehand like, "Oh this is my brother J.J...." and say something sarcastic abt him? I can't remember if she may have instigated the whole scene by doing that.

Ok, so Thelma didn't play a part in setting up this girl to be rude to J.J. There were times Thelma told complete strangers some sarcastic and idiotic things abt J.J. just to be funny. Remember in the Alaska job episode Thelma told the cemetary plot salesman some stupid-a$$ remark towards J.J. I am not sure, but is it where she referred to J.J. as "the freak of the house."?

Yeah, I got that. To be honest with you, that actress (Vernee Watson) always got on my nerves anyways. The only time she didn't get on my nerves was when she played on The Jeffersons. On Welcome Back Kotter, she wasn't even funny, she was just sarcastic, but even that wasn't funny.

Not only that, she looked very pretty on The Jeffersons. Anything else I have seen her in, she is not pretty.

Yeah on the Jeffersons she had longer hair and dressed much nicer and had that sexy sophisticated look and played a grown woman role but was a teenager on GT and wbK

I guess she was being typecast in those roles, sassy and sarcastic. She looks great with that longer hair. Remember how she looked on What's Happening? Geez, even there she looked awful.

Yeah it's nice to see a black woman not play the typical SASSY role on sitcoms
