Default Biography Channel Reairing TV Guide's Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals

Remember in 1999 and 2000 when Fox was airing the series of specials called TV Guide's Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals? They had about 5 specials under this name and profiled a lot of sitcoms such as Three's Company, The Brady Bunch, Partridge Family, The Jeffersons, M*A*S*H, Diff'rent Strokes, Gilligan's Island, Welcome Back Kotter, Facts of Life, Roseanne and more. They they changed the name for three more specials called TV Guide's Truth Behind the Rumors and profiled series such as Growing Pains, Charlie's Angels, Cheers, Laverne & Shirley, and Dynasty.
Well starting tonight (Tuesday, March 18) The Biography Channel will re-air most of these specials!
It will air Tuesdays at 10:00PM and re-air 2:00AM later that night. Following are the scheduled episodes as of now:

Tuesday, March 18
10:00PM and 2:00AM Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals Special #3
Stars of "The Love Boat'' and "M*A*S*H'' reveal controversies about the series; guests Bernie Kopell, Fred Grandy, Ted Lange, Gavin MacLeod, Lauren Tewes, Mike Farrell, Gary Burghoff, Larry Linville, Wayne Rogers and Loretta Swit.
First stop in this episode is a look back at The Love Boat, the series the critics claimed would "sink like the Titanic," but which sailed on for nine years with its Aaron Spelling formula of bikinis, blondes, celebrity guests, and lovable, yet troubled stars. Then we'll hear Loretta Swit as she recalls what it was like to be the only woman on the set with all men in the hugely popular medical comedy M*A*S*H.

Tuesday, March 25
10:00PM and 2:00AM Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals Special #4
Stars from "Happy Days,'' "The Jeffersons'' and "One Day at a Time'' reveal controversies; with Sherman Hemsley, Isabel Sanford, Marla Gibbs, Ned Wertimer, Franklin Cover, Mackenzie Phillips, Bonnie Franklin, Pat Harrington, Scott Baio, Anson Williams, Michael Lembeck and Alan Rafkin.
First stop in this episode is a look back at George and "Weezy" and their "move on up" the ladder of success with the popular and Emmy-Award winning The Jeffersons. Next we'll take a look behind-the-scenes at the cast of One Day at a Time, the popular '70s sitcom about a divorced mother and her two teenage daughters as they start a new life together in Indianapolis.

April 1 is a Lost in Space one (Lost in Space Forever ... 1998 special)

Tuesday, April 8
10:00PM and 2:00AM Truth Behind the Rumors Special #2
"Laverne & Shirley and Cheers"

Tuesday, April 15

this special didn't seem like it was even part of the same series - it was hosted by John Laroquette and looked like it had been made at a totally different time - right before the 1998 "Lost in Space" movie came out (it seemed like this special was made as a tie-in to the movie).

Oh yes, "Lost in Space Forever," a 1998 Fox special. Hmm, very odd they packaged it as a Sitcom Scandal special, when it isn't even a sitcom. I wonder if they'll package other specials after they run out of all the Truth Behind the Sitcom Scandals/Truth Behind the Rumors specials? I really want to see Fox's Behind the Laughs special that was made in 1998. I never taped that one, but I did watch it.

It will be preempted on Tuesday, April 29 due to a two-hour encore of Biography: The Brady Bunch.
