Smile Who would win?

Allright, everyone... this question started bugging me at about 6pm last night, and I am still undecided. In a no holds barred, knock-down, drag-out fight, who would win? Fonzie or Gilligan? At first, I thought Fonzie would win hands down, right? But then I got to thinking... Gilligan has that passive-resistant cowardice that makes him hard to hit, as well as uncanny good luck that surrounds him like a layer of tefflon! So would the Fonz's "Cool" beat out Gilligan's "Dumb Luck"? Or would Fonzie end up trying to beat up Gilligan, only to end up knocking himself out trying to hit Gilligan, possibly running head-first into a palm tree?

If it will make it easier, here is a hypothetical scenario that may help you in envisioning the battle and it's outcome:

Fonzie is challenged by some rival to try and make a motorcycle jump between two of the Hawaiian Islands. Fonzie attempts to make the jump, but a sudden tsunami picks him up and carries him away, where he lands (perfectly) in the lagoon of an uncharted desert isle.

Gilligan witnesses the landing, introduces Fonzie to the rest of the castaways, and the Proffessor thinks that this could be their way to get off the island! They rig up a big ramp and plan for Fonzie to make a jump into a cvoming storm. Hopefully, the storm will carry Fonzie back to the main land where he can tell everyone about the castaways, and they can finally be rescued!

Ginger and MaryAnne fawn over Fonzie, Mr. Howel gives him money, Mrs. Howel mothers him, and eventually the day of the big jump comes. The Proffessor has made up some extra-potent fuel for Fonzies motorcycle, but... uh oh! Gilligan drank the fuel and replaced it with Coconut Milk! When Fonzie starts up the motorcycle, the bike starts shaking apart, until nothing is left but a pile of scrap metal!

Fonzies bike is in pieces, and Gilligan is obviously to blame... so who comes out triumphant? Let me know!

Well no offense, but this is a pretty dumb question, but since you spent so much time typing it out, I'll respond
The short of it, Gilligan would win. Yeah Fonzie was supposed to be a bad a$$, but think of it, when did we EVER actually see him fight? NEVER! Gilligan would win, he'd accidentally do something to kick Fonzies a$$. (Sorry "The T", Im sure youll read this and see red, but thats my opinion.)

Oh, sure it's a stupid question... but it is a question that must be answered none the less! I actually lost sleep thinking about this last night! That's why I have such a detailed storyline for it to all seem plausible. I had to think of the situation in order to come up with a resolution. Why would Fonzie be driven to fight, when we have never actually seen him throw a punch on the show? The only time Fonzie comes colse to physical confrontation is when it involves his bike. I figured that the way he could win this battle would be to act like he was going to hit Gilligan, but punch the tree behind Gilligan instead. Gilligan would have closed his eyes really tight in preperation for the impact, realized he wasn't dead, and open his eyes. "Hey, you missed!" he would say with relief. Fonzie would just stand there examining his fingernails, and say "Oh, did I miss?" and then a series of coconuts would fall on Gilligan's head, knocking him unconscious.

Thats okay. Not everyone has to like the fonz. Good subject silentbri! Good idea for the way fonzie wins too! Well I say the fonz would win becuase gilligan would probably run from fonzie. When he is running he could run into a coconut tree and be knocked unconcious. If gilligan would win gilligan would clos his eyes and throw a punch and then it would hit fonzie and He would be doubling over with pain (no offense fonz. I can't believe I'm saying this!!!!) and Gilligan would say "did I miss?". But the fonz would win. He is smarter than gilligan.

Oh I see! I was gonna say! I never met anyone that didn't like the fonz!!! Glad you do! But yeah we never really did see him hit anyone and I am sure it was because it was a family show and if the fonz hit some one little kids would go around hittin people.

I think The Fonz would take care of Gilligan, although Gilligan might throw a coconut at him. lol

the Fonz would never fight Gilligan - it would be a complete waste of his time; the reason you (almost) never saw the Fonz fight is because he didn't have to, and even if Gilligan got in a "lucky" punch, we HAVE seen that the Fonz can take a punch - and several good ones at that.

the only way that I could think of a potential scenario would be if Gilligan did something to make him angry enough, the Fonz might grab the front of Gilligan's shirt and threaten him, which would scare Gilligan so much that he'd run away and as soon as the Fonz let him go, he would run into a palm tree, knock himself out and in a daze would ask "Did I win?"
