"Fanboys" Delayed Again!
Got this from Dark Horizons, who got it from Aint It Cool News
Aint it Cool reports that "Fanboys," the troubled "Star Wars"-themed comedy that's been sitting on a shelf for almost two years now, is getting reshot. The story is set in early 1999 and follows a group of friends who try to break in Skywalker Ranch to steal a copy of "Star Wars: Episode One" the reason they finally agree to do it is because one of the friends in dying of cancer and won't live to see it in theaters. Now, "Knocked Up" helmer Judd Apatow's producing partner Shauna Robertson reveals that most people won't laugh for 5-10 minutes after cancer is mentioned so they want to do away with the entire cancer subplot. A version which edited out the entire cancer plot has apparently been created and will be tested. Un-freaking-believable. Just release the damn movie already!
