Default "Fonzie's New Friend" edits (Take a Look STUDD!!)

Hey all -

There's more than just the tag scene that's missing from "Fonzie's New Friend".

First edit - when Richie and Fonzie go into his "OFFICE" -- there is supposed to be more dialogue when they walk in -- such as Fonzie saying to the effect "I wanted you to be his friend, not his mother" or something like that.

2nd Edit - Before the scene at Fonzie's where the aunt checks out "Sticks" -- the last line at Arnold's (while Fonzie is talking to Arnold) -- he's (Fonzie) supposed to say "Just because the color's right, don't make her a delight"!!

3rd Edit - Right before the break on the DVD - if fades out too soon. After Sticks plays drums on the table - the scene continues with Fonzie looking up in his black book for a date - telling Richie and Sticks who hes going to call - then what happens he says something the the effect "Party, Richie's house, Saturday Night, Be there!" then slams the phone down then it goes to commercial.

Then the tag scene is missing where the gang is doing the Limbo.

Total time 21+ minutes.

Hope this helps!!

I only read about that. Always wanted to see it. Because it's also cut in the German Dubbed Version. POUT.POUT.POUT.

Default "A Date With Fonzie" edit (Not just the tag scene)

I just watched "A Date with Fonzie" on DVD the other night, and like the "Fonzie's New Friend" episode, I noticed that it's not just the tag scene that was left out of that episode either. There's something else cut out. The scene where Richie, Fonzie, Laverne, and Shirley were all locked out of the house and couldn't get in before Richie went in through the window and knocked down the lamp. coz I do remember Fonzie saying, "Mr. Cunningham, we are freezing out here!!" They just faded from the Arnold's scene where Richie met Laverne and Shirley and went right to the part where Richie climbed into the window of his house, knocked down the lamp, ripped his pants, and read the note from Joanie taunting him about locking himself out.

Something's gotta be done because this is ridiculously too much editing. Season 3 needs to be reworked with all this stuff fixed along with some Motorcycle scenes that were also left out. I've never seen this many scenes edited from the episodes of one TV show on DVD before. Anyone who has the address (postal or e-mail) to the CBS/Paramount studio, I could write to them to complain, to point out all these DVD edits, to find out what the heck's going on, and to urge them to rework on this DVD set if possible.

I have an address, but it was before the CBS/Paramount merger thing. I'm not sure if this is still valid.

OK, thanks. Maybe it'll work. Can't hurt to try. I think it is valid coz I checked the Happy Days rear cover, and that's the address I found. But even if it's invalid, maybe they'll fwd it to the right place. Wish me luck writing to them.
