Default MrIggles, if the spread was 9 points, do you think it would have

been a typical Pats Blowout? I think all that 24 point spread pissed off the Eagles and they wanted to show they were not going to get BLOWN OUT.

The Eagles played great though, scared the sh*T out of me, I defintely didn't want the Eagles to beat another 10-0 team like they did on 11/25/90 at the Vet

LOL

I think the eagles would have played the same no matter what, they had a great plan & if it wasn't for a play her or there they would have won. In all my years as an eagle fan I have never been prouder.

Ahh I remember that game against the giants at the vet. My first ever game @ the vet!!!!!!

I do think the fact that they were 24 pt underdogs certainly helped with the motivation factor though

IF, and I repeat IF, the Pats are the best team ever, ONE bad game, that ended in a win, wouldn't take that away. Great teams win the close games. Forget about the Patriots for a minute. What team do you think is the best ever? Now, did that team SHINE in every game?

Great teams crap out, mediocre teams beat champs, on and on. Any given Sunday, Solomon, you know that. The FACT remains, the Patriots have won 11 in a row. They struggled their asses off for the last win, but that doesn't diminish their other achievements.

The 1988 49ers.

Janice I can no longer view the Pats as a DOMINANT team because the Defense couldn't not stop a BACK UP QB. If Mcnabb was in there then I would not be saying all of this. They could not STOP AJ FEELEY, That's just not supposed to happened

The 1988 49ers played flawlessly throughout the entire season? How many games in a row did they win?

Things happen. Silly example, but I'm a great cook. Not an average cook, but I cook better than anyone I know. Anyone that's eaten my meals would attest to that. A couple of weeks ago, I cooked a meal, and everything went wrong. I was like a cross between Lucy Ricardo and Debra Barone. My point being that anything can go wrong, in every aspect of life.

The Eagles were on top of their game, and the Pats were way off their game. Bad combination. Could part of it be that they didn't know Feeley's moves that well? Who knows. One thing is certain. One struggling win does not negate the Pat's other achievements. If this happens again, I'll agree with you. Not based on one game, which they won. No way. You're jumping the gun.

I'm just saying they are NOT THE BEST TEAM EVER. They are still a good team. I just don't want to hear the best team ever crap because that was a VERY STRONG statement

I meant to say the 1989 49ers. They finished 17-2 and all their playoff games were blowouts including the SB

Are we in the playoffs now? How about their season? Did they shine every game, no missteps, just perfect all the way? No struggles, no close games? Don't make me Google Solomon, lol.

Who's been saying that? It's discussed, but we watched the sport's shows every night, and I never heard the Patriots declared the best team ever, by anyone who mattered anyway.

That's a 'wait until my husband gets home' thing. It doesn't sound right, but I hope you're right. Maybe, "The Patriots are on their way to becoming the best....." or "They have the best offense ever..."
