Default Which live audience on shows seem to be the most obnoxious ever?

I have to pick the audience at Good Times...I really don't understand what the hooting, loud back comments to characters, and catcalls was all about... I practically didn't get some of the jokes and their comments "Yeah, girlfriend..." in agreements with one of the characters or something. I was always like..."Okay..."

Which did you find on certain shows that the audience seemed to the most obnoxious ever?

"Married With Children", no contest. You talk about loud cheering, hooting and hollering and obnoxious catcalls galore. It was like a big frat party.

Amen to that!!!! That was overboard and it seemed like only a bunch of h*rny, young, stupid high school guys were in that audience. If they showed two dogs "doing it" you bet your bottom dollar, that damn audience would be hootin' and hollerin' and cheering.

sitcoms-wise it has to be married with children, with non-sitcom shows, definitely jerry springer. the crowd can be very obnoxious, intimidating and whooping and yelling depending on the types of guests that are on the show

i've always liked that show but sometimes yes it did get silly at times and rather immature. particuarly in episodes where there would be al bundy and there would be some big chested chick wearing very little on next to him

It was obviously geared towards men and so it is understandable that men, guys, young guys would be in the audience. It was just a turn-off to hear that garbage coming from the audience. I think if it was turn-down a lot, it would have been more enjoyable to watch.

The next audience I found annoying was HAPPY DAYS after the appearance of Chachi and when he got older. It was annoying to see Fonzie or anyone else for that matter, having to wait to say their lines because the audience wasn't done screaming and applauding.

the women characters on married with children were either no brained air-heads, feminist male-bashers, or bikini clad whores

Actually I enjoyed the reactions of the audience. I react with them as well.

by far; the 2 worst ones are the audience on "HAPPY DAYS" and the one on "MARRIED WITH CHILDREN".

I like audience participation to a point. When the actors start pausing for 20 seconds before they can say their next line, though, that's a problem.

I agree. That is just a waste of time, not to mention making the whole thing not look spontaneous when an actor has to pause or they start to say something, stop, then repeat the few words they started to say.

I am not really bothered by the Good Times audience, the only time they annoyed me was when they laughed at what was serious moments. An occasional "right on" got to me too.

That's part of my enjoyment of "Good Times" lol. It makes me feel like I'm right there in 1975, watching with a group of people and hearing their reactions. That's quintessential 70s slang, you're hearing there, and it's unscripted lol It just means that the audience was in to the show, enjoying it for what it was.

I guess it is just me. I thought when the Good Times audience laugh at some serious moments, I thought they were not funny at all.

About the Married With Children audience...I remember when some guy always says, "Yeah, Al.." I was like...wow, who was this person? I noticed in the earlier Married With Children episodes...the audience wasn't mean to begin with...it is just as the seasons progressed, you could tell the popularity sky-rocketed to the point of no return.

That is how I feel. I watched GT since its debut on CBS and ever since then, the audience's reaction (laughter) to some serious stuff just never made sense.
