Question When Do You Put Up Your Christmas Tree?

Does anyone put up their Christmas Tree & Decorations over the Thanksgiving weekend? Or do you wait until closer to Christmas?

I'm planning on putting up my 2 table top trees saturday. I have more time to do it this weekend since we have 4 days off.

We normally put ours up today and take it down on Christmas, but my 3 yr old niece is coming Dec. 27th so we have to keep it up longer, I'm hoping we get it up first of December at least

I bet your little neice has a great time visiting you. Its so much fun when there's little ones around for Christmas. My son's 16 so its not quite the same.

Do you get a real live tree that close to Christmas? My sister-in-law puts her up the week before Christmas and takes it down on New Years Day, she gets a real tree.

My family tradition has always been to put it up either the day before or the day after Thanksgiving (depending on if relatives were coming over for dinner or whatnot).

Being my first Christmas alone, though, I decided I wasn't going to put any decorations up (though I have a ton 'cause I normally go overboard). My parents didn't like this, though, so today they surprised me with a small, silver, fiber optic tree.

Those fiber optic trees are pretty too, my mother-in-law got a small one last year. And all she does is plug it in.

Do you put up an artificial tree too or do you get a real live tree? The real trees smell so good but they turn brown and shed the needles if you put them up too early.

It varies. Hopefully we can do it this weekend.

Realistic artificial one (it folds up, so it's wrapped in a plastic bag for the summer, then, you just take off the bag and let the branches settle into place)
