One word: WOW! This show has me hooked! I'm hoping that the teaming of Jinny and what's-her-name becomes permanent, making the show easier to follow.
The whole Jinny/dog/dead plant was very tastefully handled. The inability to have the responsibility to keep a simple house plant alive is a very common trait among people suffering from addictions and dependencies. I was worried that they were going to do some stupid cliche and have Jinny end up taking home the dog, but I was pleased to see in the end that she realized it wasn't a good idea. I still don't like the captain. She's a bitch. I feel bad for her daughter. The CD/Angela tension reached a head today. While I liked seeing them argue and get some things out into the open, the whole CD-doesn't-want-to-warm-up-to-Angela thing is going to lose it's charm after awhile. I liked seeing them argue about procedure though. People who abuse animals make me sick. I really couldn't care less about the number of people murdered every year, but shooting a defenseless dog, it almost made me ill. I'm glad the show made a big deal about it. |

One word: AMAZING!
I was sorta skeptical about what this episode would be like after seeing the first two and how they were all spread out. I loved this one though! I too hope that Jinny and that other girls partnership is a permanent one, or at least we see more of them working together. I lived the whole dog and plant thing. All the conversations about the dog about made me 'split a gut laughin'. Nancy was great! I also liked the CD and Angela part, and I found myself trying to crack the case with them! I liked the conversations between them as well in the locker room. I like watching their 'friendship' slowly but surely develop. As for the captain, I think Coily said it best. I feel sorry for her daughter and I'm glad the captain had limited screen time-I could do without her ![]() I loved the entire episode and it truly did amaze me. It was well written and well acted out! I can't wait until next Sunday's episode, or until Friday night so I can tape this episode ![]() ks |

I kind of liked the twist at the end. Right after they comment on how they like happy endings, they hear the message from Jason. I don't know what it was that struck me about that, but it definitley got me. I guess it was the irony of it all.

That was among one of the best hours of tv I have watched in a long time that was not a re-run. ER, X-Files, and the Practice hasn't really being doing it this year, but The Division was very good tonight and I'm not even going to try to add onto what you two said because I think you got it all!! Nice posts.

ONE WORD: SPECTACULAR!
Jinny-Magnada(preety sure thats her name)..they are a great team and it would be cool if they work together more in the future! as for the dog i thing i thought that this was a very good case to be working on, it was really sad about what happened to the dog! but i thought it was hilarious about the whole plant thing too! CD-Anglea...great partnership!am i the only one who can sorta sense the whole blair, jo cat fight thing?i mean oviously it is different cuz these are grown ups but i mean but the whole vibe sort thing~ but i would like to see how their whole partnership grows~ captin- i think shes a bitch to her daughter but at work she has to keep a certain level of how she is suppose to act, like she cant be to spontanous~ but she is kinda annoying in the sensae she is a bitch to her daughter!IMO!! OVERALL I think the show is really awesome and this is coming from someone who dosent usally watch all those cop shows and stuff like that! ------------------ Nat: Hello sailor! Tootie: hot stuff coming through, and the pizza's are warm too! Jinny: if you pinch my a$$ one more time, i'll kick your's Jinny: i think i am going to give up men Magda: you, give up sex? Jinny: i didn't say i was giving up sex, i just said i was giving up men! to tell you the truth i kinda like the idea of becoming intamate with something that comes with a money-back gaurentee! Blair: thunder thighs is hanging up her spikes... Sue Ann: and you just gave me a great idea were to put them |

I noticed that CD and Angela sort of act like Jo and Blair did toward each other. Always fighting and arguing. And it is a lot easier to keep track of everything when Jinny and Magda work together. When there was like 4 cases going on at one time, you couldn't tell what was going on, not to mention, now, I think they have more camera time.

Coily2, completely agree. People can fight back and have a voice, animals can't and don't. Especially dogs, they are, for the most part, dependent on humans. Seeing a dog hurt in some way really gets to me and stays with me for a long time.
Maybe I was an abused dog in a past life or something, I don't know. I'm just more sensitive about seeing an animal hurt. Oh, and the Bonnie Bedelia character is not working, the daughter needs to go to... |

Well, I have to throw MY two cents in. lol.
Great episode. I espeacially liked the whole joke about Jinny's plant. It was funny watching Jinny be so "It's just a DOG!" and then, towards the end, you can see she TOTALLY warmed up to the dog. lol. I actually thought she was going to keep it. How they have everyone paired up is good too. The C.D. & Angela relationship is definitely reminiscent of Jo & Blair. Jinny and Magda also seem to have good on-screen chemistry together. They should keep those two paired up. They balance each other's personalities out well. I do have one problem with episode 3. (the MB readers gasp in shock! lol.) I had both cases solved way early in the episode. It was like..Come on! If I have it figured out, then don't you think the charcters who are cops for a living should have solved it sooner? Maybe I just have amazing jumps of logic. (I wish! lol.)Anyways.. I guess I should say the other problems I have with the series and then duck for cover from flying tomatoes. ![]() I don't care for the captain at ALL. I don't really think I'd be that sad if she got "transfered to another station" and her daughter went with her. And I'm probably the only person who DOES like the guy cop. I think it's merely the fact that there are so many female characters on the show, it was kind of fun having him be out numbered. lol. (sadistic, aren't I?) Plus it also gives him a chance to defend males. it seems like there's a lot of guy bashing. (Don't get me wrong, I think it's hilarious. )Anyways. Great ep! Keep up the good work Lifetime. |

Ok Mystery, I was thinking too that there seems to be an overabundance of female detectives handling all the front page cases on the SFPD. I could see maybe having one or two per 'station' but having the captain and so many female detectives in one station seems a little farfetched.
I don't really see why everyone is so quick to bash the captain. Actually, I seem to be in the minority but I think she is ok. I've worked with women managers in typically men's dominated fields and her portrayal comes across as realistic to me. Although if I were her I would not have given the blond detective an option to change partners. Right now I could do without seeing the daughter or her relationship with the D.A. that was shown at the end of episode 2. These are things that they could show later after we get a chance to know the captain better. |

Michele, I'll agree with you that the depiction of her take-no-prisoners management style is dead-on accurate. I have no problem with "The Captain". I do have a problem with "Kate". She's not a warm, motherly figure twoards her daughter, who just seems more than anything to want to have a decent relationship with her mother. The whole ADA thing aggrivates me as well. The first episode depicted her as a feminist, then the second episode shows her LYING about a relationship because she's afraid of what people will think? That's not depth of a character, it's just flat out bad writing and lack of continutity of an otherwise excellent show.
Hey writers? CONTINUTITY (noun): A detailed script or scenario consulted to avoid discrepancies from shot to shot in a film. |

Coily2, I totally agree! I've always been an animal activist and animal abusers make me sick, too. I was ecstatic that the seriousness of animal abuse was finally brought to light, and that it was on a show that a lot of people watch. I think it really had a good message. Jinny made a wise choice by not adopting the dog. I also loved it when she gave scum what he deserved! You go Jinny!
