Good question Solomon. I sent my husband to the grocery store Friday to pick up some essentials for the weekend. I figured we'd get the big order tomorrow. He came home with two bags, and it was $43. A tiny apple cost $1.18. Food, everything actually, has gone through the roof.

And people wonder why I fear for the direction our society is taking...

I use organic lip balm and it cost $5.75.. try to do something good for yourself and you could go broke. >>actually I take that back. I forgot I recently found a place that carries it for only $2.20.<<

Won't even get started on how much we're paying for a gallon of milk!

$2?! I don't think it's that expensive here... I know I can get Carmex for a little over $1.

Some stores here sell Chapstick in a package of two...$1.99.
You can find some great bargains at Walgreens, Wal-mart, CVS, etc.

You can definitely get something chapstick-like for less than $1.95 but yes the 89 cent days are over. (Sigh...inflation inflation inflation...all across the nation.)

That IS brutal! (It would work out to approx. $10 in North America).

I know I've been buying these tinted lip balms L'Oreal puts out. They're not really lipsticks - more of a sheer moisturizer thing but they go for $12.95 each! Cost of goods to make is probably about $0.89 each.

You could probably make some yourself, if you put a little effort into it... Cheap too.
