Default Scary Little Christmas movie

I see that "The Munsters' Scary Little Christmas" came to DVD Tuesday. Is it anything worth getting to complete my Munsters DVD collection? I had never heard of it until I saw it was being released.

Rent it first then decide so you don't waste your money. I thought it was okay, but I prefer the first movie Here Come The Munsters. I don't know why they didn't release it first.

I think it was released now to coincide with the Christmas season.

I'm hoping they do a series box set, as they did with the Addams Family.

OK...maybe I'll check the library. I've been wanting to check out all of the Munster movies anyway..

Yeah, I'd love to see the two series and the first movie (as a bonus) in a DVD boxset too, but unfortunately, I don't think Universal is big on 'complete series' boxsets like Paramount and Warner.

No one will ever beat the 'originals', but, this movie was OK, thought the cast was better in this one than the previous TV movie, Here Comes The Munsters which had a dreadful plot. I think it's OK, if you're a 'completist' like me.

I thought this movie was much better than the first. The only thing they needed in this one was Edward Herman who played Herman in the first movie because IMO, he really looked like Fred Gwynne & it would have been nice to also see the original cast in cameos like the first movie!
But now thinking about it, I think it would have just been better to have the original cast Yvonne De Carlo, Al Lewis, Pat Preist & Butch Patrick reunite & star in these movies with Edward Herman filling in for Gwynne! Now that would have been better than anything! JO
